The list with 786 Lawyers was sent to @kizzabesigye1 and hajji Obeid Lutale @NamaraClaire14 @assekanjako

English

Mr. Lwaabaaga, That's precisely why professional ethics exist. A lawyer's duty is to represent the client competently, not to guarantee victory. If PLU chooses to question its own lawyer after a loss, that's a political issue—not evidence of sabotage. Courts decide cases on evidence and law, not on speculation about future accusations.
English

Ssegona’s lust for money forces him into becoming a lawyer to international arms smuggler and member of political outfit that persecuted his comrade Erias Lukwago.
The public was shocked to see Ssegona offering legal services to PLU’s Michael Katungi who is facing possible extradition to the US to battle charges of arms dealing and drug trafficking.

English

@AmonTumu @KampalaJournal Oh thank you Sir .
But then look at it the other way, if counsel Ssegona lost the case, wouldn't PLU later accuse him of deliberate failure to put up a spirited fight,
Wouldn't they then accuse him of sabotage of "his client". Or should we say it's not possible
English

That's a false equivalence. A lawyer declining to represent the person accused of murdering their own child is about a personal conflict of interest—not professional ethics. Representing someone from a different political party involves no such conflict.
The legal system exists precisely because justice cannot depend on personal feelings, tribal loyalties, or political affiliations. An advocate's duty is to protect due process, not to endorse a client's ideology. If lawyers only represented people they agreed with politically, the rule of law would collapse into partisan loyalty.
You're confusing emotion with principle. The law recognizes the difference—even if your argument doesn't.

An update.
Not braggadocio, though we don’t believe government institutions should win in silence.
I took office just over three months ago.
We had no camera at the Uganda Media Centre, save for a decade-old kind donation from the Chinese.
No still cameras either.
Things are different now.
We now have the best of the best kit! And we are still adding to it.
We have a proper production arm. Photographers, video and audio editors, drone pilots, directors, producers.
For the first time we can also go live from anywhere in the country.
We have built a regional and global network that cuts across newsrooms, research, thought leadership and security.
Our ambition is to build the most efficient, responsive and effective government communications service on the continent.
Our posture?
This is not PR or marketing.
It’s nation building.

Or your lunch today
You and 99 other gals will respond
English

@AmonTumu @KampalaJournal If you were an attorney, would u represent someone accused of murdering your daughter???
In the guise of professionalism??
English

The ignorance on display is astonishing. A lawyer is not hired to endorse a client's politics; a lawyer is hired to defend that client's legal rights. Since when did justice become conditional on party membership? If an NUP lawyer cannot represent a PLU member, or an NRM member cannot represent an FDC supporter, then you've abandoned the rule of law for political fanaticism. Professional ethics don't wear party colours. An advocate's loyalty is to the law and to the client's right to a fair hearing—not to satisfying partisan emotions.

@Baaba0011 @SsemujjuNganda1 You really think you are talking to Hon Ssemuju??
English

@SsemujjuNganda1 Hon. Ssemujju: I have been in Parliament, and I have quoted figures from official government records, and even the MPs are surprised. It’s either they don’t read the reports or don’t understand.
Inefficiencies in budgeting and expenditure belong to the communication, not Obore.
