In his defense I think it's reasonable to see how someone might come to this conclusion if they've only been exposed to D2 for the past ~5 years. These obv aren't indicative of everything but I'm sure they leave mixed impressions if you're looking for cohesive thought-out art lol

@NuCaloric There's a bunch of early neomuna concepts on art station, that look like they belong in the IP. The result we got feels borderline focus-group tested and it sucks. EoF showed they can do breakaway civilization stuff way better.

@NuCaloric renegades personally broke me more than EoF did. The tone/vibes in Eof are awesome and it showed they still can create interesting themes/characters, 11yrs in. Only redeeming thing in Renegades is the music to me, they found a better balance there with the sw stuff

@NuCaloric I partially blame the d2 community for this direction the art took in recent yrs. Destiny consumer brain allowed collabs to such an extent, that we got fucking star wars in destiny now for some reason. Shit like that wouldn't fly in the halo community for example

Matchmaking is a complex series of wires and circuits trying to connect players to give them the best time to match while also providing quality matches. In that complex nest of things we found a bug related to regional matchmaking that is affecting a very small set of players that is unintentionally putting them in matches they’re not supposed to be in. We’re prepping a fix to get in for Tuesday morning 4/21 PT to fix this. Thanks for helping us find this, we’ll work on smoothing it out.

I really dont think 250 million is that overblown. Paul commented on it/putting in in that range, Bungie pays Seattle salaries and the game was in development for 5+ years. Most Triple A Games go easily above 100 Million just because theres so many people they have to pay. Also nowadays 250 Million aint the same as 10 years ago.

Where the fuck is this $250 million number for Marathon coming from? Like I get paying salaries for years could add up to that, but that number would make it the ~15th most expensive game ever made. And I find that hard to believe with the game's *literal* size being smallish

@NuCaloric What i think Sony wants however, is more people playing the game that the current number, so I expect them to push for a more casual experience and bungie to find a middle ground sooner rather than later.This games popularity will always have a certain cap but theres room to grow

@NuCaloric I think Sony has seen that this is the only project in their live service wasteland that has feet to stand on its own and add to that the fact that it's probably not too expensive to make and develop, I def think it's sticking around no doubt
