Pokémon needs to start removing distribution rights.
Too many scalpers have access to large stock, often selling way over MSRP. More needs to get into the hands of retail.

@DistantCoder @IchhabkeinAuto to be fair, the best players can climb the ladder regardless of the RNG. Sure, closed team sheet bo1 is more unfair but over a large sample, if you're good you'll have a high winrate, regardless of RNG. It's literally like card games

Ok so I've been playing Pokémon champions very actively for about a week now and I have a genuine question to ask regular VGC players.
How on earth do y'all deal with the CRAZY amount of RNG in this game? Feels like every 2-3 games are decided by a flinch or a crit, it's unreal.

@basedbear73 Everyone is hyper focused on the lack of supply and the scalping issue, but the pull rates are an even bigger issue and should be talked about out more imo. Opening product feels awful the vast majority of the time

The gut feeling of wanting to move on from Pokemon at least for a while is very strong today. It is not accessible nor is it fun for the average consumer to be navigating these absolute bullshit systems.

@glitchy_potat Sounds cool but there's realistically not a once or lore behind keldeo being there. Legendaries being thrown at random places with zero explanation is the norm in modern pokemon games 😅

@LSUnited62 @CarrieE40110624 @FirstLightTCG from what I've seen recently, more people have been running the dudunsparce package to counter crustle with dudunsparce ex. There's definitely a trend going on. Investbros are just doubling down on it, seeing it as an opportunity to pump the artist.

@JoeMerrick Personally I think TPC/TPCi just needs to tank the value of the cards....Like, the people who are in the hobby solely to actually play the game or just collect their favorite cards won't have a problem with hit rates being increased. Look at Crown Zenith. It's a highly loved set

Seeing what happened in Korea with the promo card at the Mega Fest event and how chaotic it got to be...
We will be losing promo cards for events soon for sure. This is unsustainable due to all the opportunists wanting to make money.
The TCG is being ruined by these people.

@FluffyOfTheMoon idk, I think his take is valid. There's way too many energies printed and most people don't have a use for them. Also a lot of older sets had no basic energies in packs and it wasn't an issue.

Collectors!! What Do You Do With Your Energy Cards? ⚡️💧🔥 Maybe Pokémon Company should just discontinue printing basic energy cards in packs altogether. Save the trees and stop forcing them on collectors. Players can buy a separate energy pack if they need them to play. 🤝

Rien à voir avec l'effet "waouh" d'une SAR de poké, d'une carte manga de OP ou d'une enchantée de lorcana, où tu vois direct que la carte est spéciale.

Pour les coup je trouve que pkmn etc ne font pas assez de different foiling yugi y'en a tellement et la y'a meme les full art c'est parfait

Tout à fait d'accord avec le monsieur Si on veut que la rareté soit peraine il faut que les cartes soit accessible (pour les nouvelles) mais que leur version dans cette rareté ne le soit pas, comme l'était les starlight pre-qcr par exemple

@MagicaLyna @GabrielSoussi D'autant plus que les différentes raretés ne se démarques pas beaucoup les unes des autres. Entre une starlight et une plat secret, la différence est minime. Difficile de faire venir un public de collectionneur dans ces conditions 2/2

@MagicaLyna @GabrielSoussi je dis pas que c'est pas bien d'avoir des reprint, effectivement c'est très bien pour le jeu. Le problème c'est que la seule chose qui sépare une carte banal d'un gros hit ça va être une différence de foiling dans l'énorme majorité des cas. C'est pas hype. 1/2

Va expliquer à un non connaisseur que tel carte en starlight c'est une chase card alors qu'elle ressemble à n'importe quelle autre carte ygo

@MagicaLyna @VohltOrigine @GabrielSoussi Je suis à moitié d'accord, certe parfois on a des Starlight sur des cartes complètement random, mais par exemple prenons les QCR, en 3 ans d'existences il y en a déjà plus de 1000 c'est absolument ridicule, forcément ça joue sur le prix vu le nombre.

Pokémon = demande beaucoup plus grande, license pleine de collectionneurs
Évidemment que les raretés se vendent plus simplement chez eux, chaque pokemon a sa fan base etc

@GabrielSoussi ça peut être différent pour les overframe, qui ont un vrai intérêts, à condition de ne pas les reprint dans les sets suivants. Bcp d'overframe, si c'est synonyme de beaucoup de cartes désirables, ça peut plus donner l'envie d'ouvrir que d'avoir 2-3 chase cards

@GabrielSoussi Je ne pense pas que ce soit le coeur du pb. Les starlight/QCR esthétiquement n'ont rien de remarquable. Ce sont des reprint banales avec un foiling différent, donc évidemment que leur désirabilité va beaucoup dépendre de leur rareté 1/2
