It’s honestly heartbreaking to see Geeky Ranjit moving away from phone reviews to cars. The man was the blueprint for honest, real-world testing in India. Now, the tech space is mostly occupied by creators just reading off spec sheets. End of an era. 💔📱

Just so silly. Everyone knows that two tribes the Iyer and the Iyengar left the modern India and settled in a far off island. Overtime Iyer-land became the modern Ireland while the Iyengar-land overtime became Iyengland and then lost the IY and is now known as England.

@CaptVenk Yes but that informed consumer market is very small and scattered, some system integrators may do it if requested and under supervision of the home owner. I have seen industrial buildings going for full NDT and repair due to hasty rooftop Solar works.

@dingri9 I am sure there must be many residential customers who are willing to pay, but are unaware and also who have seen the random slab drilling as normalised.

The most ignored and surprisingly reckless part of rooftop solar is the civil engineering. Some vendors drill into slabs wherever convenient, cast 1 ft concrete over them without a proper structural or waterproofing assessment. Are there installers who first study the slab, locate beams, calculate loads, assess wind risk, and design the mounting structure accordingly? Curious whether even large installers such as SolarSquare, Freyr, and others follow a proper structural-engineering process before installation.

@shashib @Esri It’s a standard operating procedure in most Indian infra projects to perform GPR survey before you dig, as the municipal records may miss critical utilities running underground. Only issue is limited depth and accuracy of GPR sensor.

A wrong location decision does not announce itself on the day you make it. It shows up two years later, in a struck gas line, a store that never fills, a pipeline that failed where the record said solid ground. I spent an evening this week with @Esri 's leadership ahead of the User Conference in San Diego, and the thing that stayed with me was not the technology. It was how much money moves through decisions made without the location layer in front of the person making the call. The numbers are not small: - Underground utility damage costs the U.S. economy at least $30 billion a year, much of it traced to maps that were wrong or assets never documented. - More than 7,000 U.S. stores closed in 2024, and one analysis found 67% of failed sites had warning signs in their data that nobody read. - Catch a buried-utility conflict during design and it is a line moved on a drawing. Catch it during construction and the same fix runs 10 to 100 times more. Most enterprise buyers file geospatial under mapping. That filing is the expensive mistake. The map you can see is the cheap part. The expensive part is the decision you make when you skip it. There is a second reason I think this layer matters more now, not less. A language model can write a fluent sentence about a place it has never verified. It cannot invent the coordinate, the parcel line, the flood boundary, or the buried asset unless something authoritative fed it that ground truth. That is the one layer AI cannot fake. I wrote up the full analysis, including the trap of building wherever a Trader Joe's or Starbucks already committed: shashi.co/2026/07/esri-s… For the technology leaders here: what is a decision your organization made without the location layer, and what did it cost you? I would like to learn from it. #GIS #Geospatial #LocationIntelligence #EnterpriseAI #Esri #EsriUC2026

@shashib Started flying around 2006, first flight was Begumpet -New Delhi. It was so easy, took bus 90D and walked straight into airport. Global sales role, 10s of trips each quarter and saw transition to Shamshabad, travelling to airport via Meru cabs it self was a project of it’s own

Airports have memories. Your first flight (mine was Bangalore to Goa) and you didn't know how to remove your seatbelt. Your first international flight from New Delhi to Frankfurt (I am making a trip to Frankfurt again in a few months) Your first flight back "home" after moving to another country. The word home becomes confusing. The unexpected flights when a loved one passes away. Flights where at the other end is a wedding, multiple days of dancing despite jet lag. The chance encounters of the familiar kind when you meet a person you haven't spoken to in years. A conversation with a stranger who you have been Google result stalking as they resemble your last name and you are fighting for first result. You can't call an airport a home away from home but a connection between home and a home away from home. What are your airport memories?

@dakuwithchaku If you are trying to buy a new Tapo camera and finding them out of stock on platforms like Amazon India or Flipkart, it is due to mandatory government STQC security compliance. TP-Link is working on updating and certifying their camera lineup to meet these regulations.

Fitness experts and lifestyle coaches, this is not for you. Don’t take offense. Countless varieties of khakra, bhakri, and selective snacks are now gluten-free in a dedicated section. They have their own app and delivery services across the globe. PS: If this shop sneezes, Gujaratis across the US feel the cold.

How to make easy 5Lakh per month in B2B procurement ? A famous Indian brand appoints distributors who keep inventory worth in Cr's. > Company offers distributor 23% discount on MRP with 30-45 days credit (depends on volume) > Distributor sells to retailers and dealers from 15-20% depending on their volume, payment terms & relationships > We have both on Pneucons. An end customer claims they are already getting it at 30% and their order value is not even 6 figures. I know what we replied. What would you reply?
Pritesh Lakhani@priteshlakhani

Remember not all customer are God. A Customer tried to abuse the system because they think they pay in advance so they own the attention and everyone should revolve around that. Their 1st order journey - They requested the part - They shared PO. - They made payment - They recived material on Time - On QC they learned they ordered wrong product. - They requested exchange. - We wanted to build relationship so we requested seller to oblige for exchange. - Seller obliged and did the fulfilment. Next order journey - Customer makes same mistake again. - This time calls directly to seller and says exchange it because you did last time. - Realises this time its not the same seller. This time its a new seller. - We don't know what buyer did behind our back. - Seller refused because that's the promise we made to all our seller. To never exhange or accept returns unless there's a manufacturing issue. They followed the rule and politely declined and redirected them to talk to us. - Buyer calls us and complains seller is not complying and calls them unprofessional. - We denied the replacement. They couried the product to our office and now threatening us to file cheating complaint on us. I know what we did. What would you do?

@IronyMeter Spot on with cartridge quality, sticky blue substance. I was with mach 3 for 15+ years but true equivalent today is mach 5. Gillette mach series never gave me any cuts or rough shaves. Another brand I use on travel kit is DORCO PACE it’s great.

After having wrecked the quality and weight of the Mach 3 Razor, Gillette has now managed to even worsen the quality of cartridges themselves. This company has the country's, or even the world's, highest paying population locked in for the last 15 years, and yet their MBAs want to take money out of manufacturing a good product. They deserve to lose the crown their predecessors earned for them.

India's No. 1 SUV - Creta. Fun facts: > Launched in China in 2014. It failed. > Launched in India in 2015. It became a massive hit. > 15 lakh+ units sold so far, with demand still going strong. > Doesn't sell in the US, Europe, or even South Korea. Very Interesting.
