@1shankarsharma And how do the final results over 10 years look like when you compound at 12% and 8% respectively. Also as most people do SIP’s it’s not necessary that they will continue to get 8% in the Fd market for next 10 years, if so then equity returns will also be commensurately be higher

A diversified portfolio (in oversimplified terms) with an active manager can change composition , factor in external impacts that an index does not. You’re absolutely right on being diversified into a Mutual Fund, but the question I have is at what cost? Why should I pay for research which is printed by some analysts who don’t know much “beyond a point”. So if they don’t know and you don’t know, then why don’t I just buy the Nifty ETF in this uncertainty?

We did a thorough study of the evolving Iran and Israel situation and its impact on global markets and Indian markets and our stocks in particular. Looking at upcoming elections and how many seats BJP/NDA can win and following that the budget and separately looking at how China is doing and investors frustration with their returns from China plus the inflation in USA and whether interest rate cuts will come later this year or next year, we have come to the conclusion that: No one knows anything about anything, beyond a point. So focus on owning a diversified portfolio of stocks that cannot be eliminated on any "bad" factor.
