Love this! Have been doing this as the sole PM for years. I remember my last manager asking me why I spent so much time getting into the weeds and trying to solve things to the roots. I could be saving so much time if I didn't. I told him that I would do it even if it means working extra hours, because that's just how I operate.

Got a rejection hours after pivoting my idea to building something I have deep domain expertise in: sole PM , drove 1M+ ARR at a YC backed startup as the youngest member of the team. We just finished reviewing applications for Canopy. The team worked 14-hour days for the past 10 days. Most online applications were completed today, so if you applied for the online program, you still have a good chance of getting in tonight at 10 PM. I’ve watched so many videos at 1.5x and 2x speed that it feels weird to hear people in real life. There were so many great teams—unfortunately, we couldn’t accept everyone. We’re stretching our in-person slots to the limits of our facility. If you were rejected, it’s just a matter of time before you get in. Keep trying, raise your ambitions, build an amazing team, and gain more momentum. I’m excited to meet everyone on Wednesday for kickoff. It’s going to be special—our first hybrid program, both in-person and online. It’s also our first time doing this, so expect some hiccups, but we’ll keep improving. This is the work of our lives. Our mission is to help 100,000 +founders start the journey regardless if we finance you or not.

Two years ago, I was sitting in my dorm room at UT with no real friends, no direction, and honestly no idea what I was doing. 700 days later...
