@dithepol @TrpPotichu @wsusportsunion She has been used as an example for medical students. And yes, she has nonbinary views and has supported her (adopted) son in his trans decision (although the final outcome is, IMHO, a bit embarrassing).

This is my sweet Ollie. Last Monday I came home from a two day trip to a wedding. I am very rarely away and had somebody checking on the cats four times a day. When I got back, Ollie looked very weak and wasn’t eating. I took him into the vet. They put him on oxygen and fluids and ran blood work. They told me that he was in end stage renal failure… When he had never been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease before and had been totally fine just a week before or so it had seemed, but as we all know, cats are master hiders. The vets said we could take him to the ER clinic and put him on aggressive treatment and it may give him another month but suggested euthanasia because he was in a lot of pain. So we let our Ollie go. I rescued him from a shelter in New Jersey when he was six weeks old and he bonded to me and followed me everywhere ever since. We slept together every night for 18 years, except for when I rarely left for a few days. He had the loudest purr. He was gentle to other cats I have had and to the dog. He was a good boy, and I am lost without him.

Sall Grover - @salltweets - is a brave Australian woman who has been unjustly dragged through our courts for trying to protect women's spaces. Our current laws do not protect our women, which means our laws must change. Sall is in the High Court right now because our laws don't define what a women is, and do not protect the right to have female-only spaces. For the past year my Nationals colleague Alison Penfold has worked on a bill to define what a women is in law. Today she introduced her bill into the House of Representatives. Sall is in the fight of her life to defend women-only spaces, and The Nationals are calling on the Albanese Labor Government help us enshrine that right into law. We will support changes that reinstate a definition of biological sex to protect women.
