I came out as a lesbian 30 years ago this year. In those 30 years, I’ve become a fully evolved gay. I no longer need a rainbow flag or pride month to back me. I no longer feel a sense of automatic community based on identity. 30 years ago, being gay was a lot different. You were rejected by society, family, & religion. A movement sprung up and fought for dignity. I was a part of that movement. I’m very proud of what I’ve done in terms of gay rights. However, gay rights morphed into trans lunacy. I no longer feel the need to vote democrat to protect myself as a lesbian. I also no longer feel a barrier between God and I just because I’m gay 🙏 I’ve come full circle like the Prodigal Daughter - I came home to my conservative & godly roots after 30 years in the wilderness.
