Once again, the Gaza “aid flotilla” demonstrates how utterly useless and moronic forms of “activism” are a drain of resources and human power that could have been allocated elsewhere to actually make a difference, not just make a point. This is what happens when Bill Murray’s “Groundhog Day” film becomes somewhat of a reality; when a failed strategy is repeated again and again on a recurring time loop that always produces the same outcome with the same exact worthlessness. Ironically, the Gaza “aid flotilla” trying the same failed thing over and over while expecting different results, somewhat mirrors what Palestinian factions and political leaders have been doing for decades, especially when it comes to the “resistance” narrative – as if the Palestinian people need any more external affirmation of failed and miserable actions that have only produced death, destruction, and failures. Of course Israel wasn’t going to allow these ships to go through; of course Israel will try to intercept these ships in international waters to avoid having to deal with them on its soil; of course Israel will face no real pushback or meaningful opposition to its actions against the flotilla, and therefore, you’re not going to “draw attention” to Israeli actions no matter how aggressive and hostile they are. Gazans don’t need symbolic amounts of aid to “draw attention” to their plight; hundreds of trucks enter the Strip daily loaded with supplies and materials that are quantitatively greater per capita than aid entering Sudan, South Sudan, Yemen, Mali, Ethiopia, Somalia, Syria, Cuba, Afghanistan, or the DRC. What Gazans need is someone to call out the unequal distribution of aid and assistance; Gazans need someone to expose Hamas’s crimes against an exhausted population; Gazans need attention drawn to the Egyptian siege of the Rafah border crossing and the prevention of thousands of patients and travelers unable to pass through Cairo’s airport to the outside world; Gazans need pressure on Hamas to disarm and sacrifice so that 2 million Palestinians can live and have a chance at reconstruction and a better future; Gazans need financial support to purchase inflated food and basic items that the cost of the “aid flotilla” could have paid for; Gazans don’t need performative sympathy but require actually helpful actions which often mean working with Israel, Egypt, the US, and those with influence in a pragmatic, unemotional manner. Enough with the flotilla bullshit – enough with Western activists having sex, dancing, and playing sports on boats while sailing to “save” Gazans – stop wasting time, resources, and attention and do something meaningful for once in your lives!

The $400 M Ukraine aid approved by Congress months ago is being held up at the Pentagon by Under Sec. Elbridge Colby, - according to a WaPo opinion piece by Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) - @SenMcConnell This isn’t the first concern raised about Colby. Last year, he reportedly stopped arms shipments to Kyiv. He also reportedly called Ukraine and Baltic security assistance “wasteful” and removed it from the FY26 budget request. In reality, Ukraine aid has driven billions in U.S. defense industrial base investment in the first two years of the full-scale war. The Pentagon also continues a Biden-era policy limiting the number of U.S. military trainers authorized to assist Ukraine and observe the conflict firsthand. According to McConnell, both the Biden and Trump administrations have failed to fully leverage Ukraine’s advances in drone and counter-drone technology. ‼️ZELENSKYY: The U.S. produces only 60 anti-ballistic missiles a month. Since 2022, Ukraine has sought a license to manufacture them and double output for the U.S., but those requests were rejected. Kyiv is now moving to produce its own anti-ballistic missiles domestically. ZELENSKYY: The United States produces 60 (antiballistic) missiles a month. I asked, starting with Biden: "Give me the license, I promise we'll double your production." JOURNALIST: Are we ready to produce them ourselves? ZELENSKYY: I really wanted to, yes, we were ready. Do we even have the capacity? Yes, we're absolutely ready for this, yes. Missiles. We're talking about (antiballistic) missiles, not systems, yes. Ukrainian President on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.

Only one chance in this lifetime… Like watching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos, I couldn’t resist a cell phone video of Earthset. You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him. I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.

Elections in Gaza? Did you know that in the Gaza Strip, where the most destructive war in Palestinian history occurred over the past two and a half years, elections are about to take place in 10 days? And did you know that Hamas is running in those elections, albeit not under its official banner? You heard that right – the area where 70% of the population lives in tents, 80% of the Strip’s buildings are fully destroyed or partially damaged, a supposed genocide took/is taking place, malnutrition and hunger prevailed just a year ago, and Hamas is still in control, is somehow going to be able to partake in an electoral process. Here are the details of this insanity: The Palestinian Authority (PA) and Fatah in the West Bank want to ensure that the territorial integrity of the Palestinian Territories is maintained and that the Gaza Strip is not permanently separated from the Palestinian national project, identity, jurisdiction, and processes, despite agreeing to a transitional phase after the ceasefire that’ll entail international custodianship under the Board of Peace. The PA is holding municipal elections in the West Bank, and wanted to include Gaza in this process. After careful consideration, it was decided that this can only work in the central city/municipality of Deir al-Balah, which is one of only three parts of the Strip that were spared widespread destruction and devastation because the Israeli army did not enter it. Hamas is now massively based in Deir al-Balah, which has become a new power center for the surviving elements of the terror group’s governance apparatus, police, membership, and infrastructure. However, Hamas ostensibly agreed to give up control over Gaza to the newly formed Palestinian technocratic committee (NCAG) and is theoretically no longer interested in governing Gaza. Plus, the people of Gaza are so furious and done with Hamas that after nearly two decades of controlling the Strip, they can’t fathom the idea of more Hamas control and influence. There are four “lists” running several candidates each. They are: List #1: "Peace and Construction," List #2, and most suspiciously believed to be Hamas’s covert network of operatives: "Deir al-Balah Unites Us, with Your Service, We Rise," List #3: "The Future of Deir al-Balah," and List #4: “The Renaissance of Deir al-Balah.” There is an unbelievable level of public mistrust of any candidates who are affiliated with or adjacent to Hamas. List #2 members are being called the red shirts, and while they tried to say they don’t belong to the terror group, Gazan society has judged them as being Hamas’s covert list, encouraging voters to steer clear of this list. Elections are about much more than merely the ballot boxes. They are about a free press, civil society, freedom of expression, and institutions that complement the act of voting. Holding elections in Gaza at this time is extremely reckless and irresponsible. Gazans are being arrested, jailed, tortured, shot, and killed daily for social media posts and anything they say that’s perceived as being critical of Hamas. These elections should be halted and prevented from proceeding, for they are meddling in the transitional process that the Board of Peace, NCAG, and the international community have planned for Gaza, with Hamas’s disarmament and relinquishment of power being the first necessary steps. Hamas is trying to covertly reinvent itself and replicate what it did EXACTLY two decades ago when it ran in the infamous 2006 elections that caused the catastrophe in Gaza and for the Palestinian people. Gazans need food, housing, humanitarian assistance, freedom from Hamas, a better future, security, safety, and hope – not a token electoral process!

I am not sure how such news passed without proper notice. But Hamas today refused to start disarming for the entry of the new Gaza technocratic committee. On another note, the countries that pledged to donate money to the board of Peace and the reconstruction of Gaza are still hesitant given Hamas's control over the Strip and the war in Iran. (Only US, UAE, and Morocco have funded so far out of 10 countries pledged funds). Hamas is blocking the rebuilding of Gaza since the ceasefire, and the absolute silence about this is something no short of shameful.
