My mamaji is on ventilator. He had all his life’s savings within PSU bank in FDs. All his accounts have been sealed as due to being bed ridden he could not do re-KYC in person. His kids asked bank to take humane view. Bank said if he cannot come in person, accounts will not open. FDs in PSU banks can be useless in time of need due to KYC regulations. @narendramodi @RBI this KYC mess is draconian. Please help in this time of need

So, @HDFCERGOGIC gets all my documents through its officers Vivek, Pawan, Pushpendra and others in December. We exchanged 10 emails, I provided every single document of my mother’s ’liver cirrohossis’ and hospitalisation of 7 days, but HDFC finds this as ‘drug induced fever’. In its ‘closure document’ it stated 5 emails sent to me (in October) asking additional documents which, they claim, I didn’t send. However, I have proof that I uploaded each one of them. Additionally, I talked to the whole series of individuals from HDFC and gave them all documents (and anything else they desired from hospital) in December. I own all call recordings on the matter. Now, they sent me a 2-page pdf saying the claim has been closed as I didn’t send any documents as they desired. After paying ₹48,000/year for 4 years, they are not paying the ₹54,000 that they owe me. Tagging IRDA or @DFS_India @FinMinIndia wouldn’t help as I have seen thousands of similar complaints whenever someone posts his/her case. It is an unchecked plague scamming lakhs of individuals hundreds of crores with minimum to zero redressals. A video would soon follow.

Three days back, I received a call from a mutual friend who needed urgent help in procuring a spy camera for his relative who was being blackmailed by a senior CGST and Central Excise officer in Nashik to pay him a bribe of ₹20 lakhs for a rectifiable error in input tax credit (which was later rectified). This Superintendent of CGST and Centra Excise, visited the factory and initially demanded a bribe of ₹50 Lakhs with all threatening tactics on his new factory. When there were no issues found and error rectified, the officer then threatened him that he will be sending his file to Income Tax Dept. to investigate him. The Superintendent then called him in his office on 14th October demanding a bribe of around ₹20 Lakhs. Furious, the company owner said, all his files are correct and he doesn't want to pay any bribes and that is why he is looking for a spy cam to expose this officer. Suggested him to speak to the Anti Corruption authorities and report the matter to them officially. They took the bold and right step of informing the authorities. The Superintendent was arrested by the CBI on 14th October. Good job by @CBIHeadquarters in promptly setting up the trap and arresting the officer.

UPSC needs to be scrapped. The exam is single handedly responsible for creating low IQ unmotivated bureaucrats. Just replace it with an IQ test + extensive interview round that asks candidates relevant Qs on development, leadership and governance.

🚨 My experience selling gold coins (bought with credit cards) I have sold a few coins at Tanishq and it is a very smooth process. I sold them at a Mia store. ▪️Simple verification is done (the coins showed it was bought at Myntra); no invoices asked ▪️ 3% deduction from current market rate ▪️ Cancelled cheque leaf and an ID card ▪️ Amount deposited in 2 working days ✅ Other brands are also accepted! However they would melt it and pay based on the purity. While others deduct 2% (but not sure if they accept other brand coins), Mia/Tanishq maybe actually the best way as I have seen their coins are the cheapest. And I trust them over other brands. This was my first time selling coins (and good timing at an all time high!) and I feel Mia gives the best bang for the buck considering that we pay less when buying. Is my understanding correct?
