Excited for Deeptune and Mercor to join forces. Data is AI’s major bottlenecks, and both teams are trailblazers in the space: Mercor for its extensive expert network and Deeptune for their industry leading RL environments. They’ll go faster and further together Working with Tim and the Deeptune team has been a career highlight, congrats!

Excited to share that @deeptuneai is joining @mercor_ai. When we started Deeptune, we believed RL environments would become the defining bottleneck for AI. Over the past two years, we've seen this play out even faster than we expected. Mercor has built the world's leading expert network for AI, making it the obvious place to continue our mission. Together, we'll build the platform that powers the next generation of AI agents. Our entire team is joining Mercor in NYC, and we'll continue building with far greater resources towards the even bigger opportunity ahead. I'm deeply grateful to our customers, investors, and everyone who helped us get here. Most of all, thank you to the Deeptune team. None of this would have been possible without you. We're just getting started.

First impression on SF: The overwhelming amount of B2b saas AI companies has destroyed me. Every billboard is selling nonsense, every company is funded, I don’t know how this lasts. This had to end right? This has to end bad. There’s no way this doesn’t collapse.

I’ve known @neilmovva for 20 years. Turns out learning to build from first principles at FIRST Robotics takes you pretty far. He got me through AP Physics C back then, and he pushes our team everyday to break those same laws for inference. Couldn’t be prouder to be building the future with you at @sailresearchco. If you want to learn from the best in kernels, reach out!! We’re hiring
Neil Movva@neilmovva

Samir Menon @blintzbase and I are thrilled to announce Sail @sailresearchco ! We build infrastructure for long-horizon agents: inference served at unbeatable prices-per-token for open models, plus sandboxes designed to run for days, weeks, or longer. We've raised $80M, w/ our seed led by @Sequoia and series A led by @KleinerPerkins. We're using this capital to build the most efficient infrastructure for long-horizon agents. What makes agents so different? Unlike a human waiting at a keyboard (top priority: speed), agents need scale, reliability, and sustainable cost. Sail finds this efficiency everywhere in the stack: we carefully choose our chips, write custom inference engines, and run a global controller that fully utilizes every computer in our fleet. Tight integration from silicon to API lets Sail open up the cost / latency frontier to our customers - the most patient agents can now access 10x more intelligence per dollar. We're excited to be working with great companies like @parallelweb, @detaildotdev,@Jackandjillai, and @quadrillion_ai to deploy long-horizon agents with trillions of tokens. Our team is thoughtful in our engineering craft and relentlessly ambitious in our pursuit of peak performance. We previously trained at companies like NVIDIA, OpenAI, Google, and so many trading firms. Now we're ready to do the work that will define our careers, in the most compute intensive market of all time. Welcome to the era of abundant intelligence. We can't wait to build with you!

The XDOF team is a world-class team of researchers who deeply understand the problems their customers face. They are open-sourcing the largest teleop dataset and want to accelerate those in pursuit of general purpose robots. We're excited to be supporting them, congrats to the team!
Philipp Wu@philippswu

Announcing @xdofai: We’ve raised $70 million to build the core robotic infrastructure ecosystem for robot foundation models. My cofounders Fred (@YideShentu), Nemo (@itsnemojin) and I have been pursuing the dream of general purpose robots for our entire lives. After work at Covariant, Meta and Tesla, it became clear to us that general purpose robots are coming, and we are building XDOF to help make them a reality. For the last two years, we’ve been working behind the scenes to support major labs and companies deploying robots. In us, they have a partner with full-stack expertise, from hardware to operations to policy training. As our first public contribution to the space, we are open-sourcing ABC-130K, the largest open source teleoperation dataset, in collaboration with our partners from UC Berkeley, Carnegie Mellon, MIT and Amazon FAR. Thank you to our customers, partners, collaborators and investors for your trust and conviction in us. Together, we can accelerate the future of robotics!

Let’s count the wins here 1. SpaceX gets a frontier coding lab, with the highest quantity and quality of coding data outside of Anthropic 2. Cursor is at $4b ARR and targeting 7.5b+ in EOY ARR. At $60b, that’s accretive to SpaceX’s EV/revenue multiple 3. One of Cursor’s only deficiencies was long term access to compute, which they now secure. Who knows what they’ll cook 4. Cursor was the largest customer of several inference neoclouds, meaning SpaceX slows down or handicaps competitors in the process 5. SpaceX gets Cursor level AI talent with a meaningful lockup, at a time when they face huge attrition in xAI Win x 5
SpaceX@SpaceX

SpaceX has exercised the option to acquire @cursor_ai in an all-stock transaction with the goal of building the world’s most useful AI models. For the past few months, SpaceXAI has been jointly training a model with Cursor, which will be released in Cursor and Grok Build soon. We look forward to working closely with the Cursor team to advance our frontier AI capabilities

@tdsfixer @grok Answer is probably yes. Cursor is already a preferred enterprise solution because it works well and you can be model agnostic. Lack of stability associated with Anthropic models is a tailwind for any other coding company

@dkwon98 Groks problem: They don't have a frontline model. Cursors problem: They don't have a frontline model. 2 substandard models don't have any synergy, this adds basically nothing. Cursor's founders and engineers will evaporate as their stockdeals go through.

@calitrav Yes, but the conversion price will be dependent on SpaceX's average share price closing to the closing date (unless I'm mistaken)

@dkwon98 and if I'm not mistaken (which I may be) SpaceX stock just went up so much that they were able to give Cursor fewer stock shares to be worth $60 Billion than they would have if they'd bought it sooner.
