This WHO report should worry all who railed against CervicalCheck in 2018 and since. All cervical screening pgms have interval cancers. The National Cancer Registry report showed the tremendous impact of CervicalCheck on cervical cancer incidence & survival. But now at risk

It was a retrospective audit. Every woman in the Irish audit already had cancer, just like every woman in the English, Norwegian, Swedish retrospective audits did. All of the women in Ireland were long-since undergoing and, in many cases, had completed treatment for cancer.

Today is the 4th time in 3.5 months that the same person from HR rings my mobile to ask about my “suspiciously” long hours. As it turns out, if you only staff 2 interns for 60 acute patients, those 2 interns end up working (surprise surprise) 80-90 hours a week.

Such a lovely time meeting @SarahFitzWiMIN in person at her incredible @WomenMedIreland conference today. It’s amazing the ideas you come up with when you’re stuck in a chemo chair

If you have high cholesterol it can be hard to see the benefit of going on medications to lower it. Most people just usually wait until they are older to consider medications. This is not a good idea. Here's why. 🧵👇 /1

Minister @DonnellyStephen on @RTE_PrimeTime . The abuse and overwork of junior doctors in the Irish health care system has been going on since I was a trainee over 40 years ago and even longer. It needs change not new studies.
