💯 But it's more about having the perpetual income so you can make choices in life that you actually want Like where to live or what to do Instead of being forced to live in a place you don't like to be near an office for a job you don't like

@levelsio No such thing as retire early, if you stop doing something that seems like a depressing life

Ridiculous. To witness a perfectly usable operating system nosedive in quality over the past 5 years, has been painful. W11 is pathetic in so many ways, the fact that you have to debloat, "winhance", and more, just to make the damn thing work. W11 is a mirror of everything that has gone wrong in the software side recently. And yes, I'm a daily power user.

BREAKING: Microsoft just announced several major changes to Windows 11 in an effort to win back user trust and evolve the platform into something people will actually want to use over macOS and Linux! It's a huge announcement that addresses Windows 11's biggest problems today, tackling core fundamental issues such as unreliable system performance, UX consistency, AI bloat and general enshittification. Microsoft has confirmed that this year, it WILL be reducing where ads and Copilot appear throughout the system, including in Start, Widgets, Notepad, Photos, and more! File Explorer and Windows Search will be upgraded with improved performance and capabilities that make finding apps and files much faster and easier. The OS will become lighter with less RAM and system utilization at idle, making it smoother to run on low end hardware with limited memory. These improvements will also benefit high-end PCs too. Windows Update will be improved with more granular controls and the ability to postpone updates for longer, along with reducing how often the OS needs to restart to install an update. Microsoft has also confirmed that it's bringing back fan favourite features such as the ability to move the Taskbar! It's also working to update more areas of the system shell with modern WinUI designs, which should make Windows 11 feel more coherent and complete. There's much more in the announcement, and it honestly all sounds too good to be true. Microsoft really is listening to feedback, and is eager to make Windows the BEST desktop OS on the market. More details including when these changes will arrive in the link! windowscentral.com/microsoft/wind…

For my out-of-town followers-Let’s be clear: there are 4 separate scandals here in NYC: 1. Duwaji, the Mayor’s wife, working for an impassioned Jew hater during a mayoral campaign, during which her husband claimed he’d protect Jews. 2. Mamdani essentially lying about his family’s ties to said Jew hater. 3. @LevineJonathan’s masterful expose (x-pose-a) of Duwaji’s history of racist and antisemitic social media posts. 4. Duwaji deleting her accounts. Mainstream media: Ho-Hum.
Jillian Michaels@JillianMichaels

Full episode in comments! Zohran Mamdani's inner circle is loaded with anti-Semites—starting with his wife, who can’t stay out of the headlines. Jillian Michaels cuts through the noise and tells the TRUTH about the man New Yorkers elected mayor.

People are still surprised that Trump shows no grace for people who tried to destroy his life. Try to imagine reading in the newspaper every day that you are a Russian asset, a traitor, when you know you’re not. Then you’re investigated by a guy who is trying to frame you.

Smart people, people much smarter than myself, are actually easier to understand than harder. Because they are so smart, they can explain things in simple, relatable terms. It's a reflection of how deeply they understand things

I've been using Opus 4.6 and GPT-5.4 one after another (that is, an Opus session then a GPT session then Opus again, and so on) on the same projects for a couple of weeks now, and GPT-5.4 (High) has been consistently more successful. The difference is even more noticeable in debugging tasks, where Claude can spend up to 30 minutes digging without delivering any result, while GPT finishes with the right fix most of the time. The only problem with GPT is its conversational ability, or rather the absence of it. Getting it to explain the reason for the bug or the applied solution in a human-understandable way is a skill in itself.

@yacineMTB It's a fallacy. No one has any idea what is coming when tools are made widely available to the masses. There's a lot of genius hiding out there without resources just waiting for this epoch.

@TimSweeneyEpic @Dominos_UK Don't love the "new map" after 3 months, but a bunch of game mechanics have been significantly improved. Also, why did everything move to central AWS?

Sending condolences to the family of Robert Mueller. A combat veteran and patriot who served our country and stood for the values we all share as Americans. Rest in peace.

Bob Mueller was a Patriot who never said “no” when his country called on him to serve. As a Marine in combat in Vietnam. As an Assistant U.S. Attorney prosecuting crime. As Director of the FBI helping to change law enforcement after 9/11. I worked with him at DOJ for 7 years (post-9/11) and, while we did not always agree, he spoke his mind with candor and conviction. My condolences to his wife Ann and the entire Mueller family. I thank him for his service and pray that he rests in peace.

Robert Mueller's probe of Trump's non-existent ties to Russia was unfair. Trump got the last word. When told Mueller died Trump cracked, "Good, I'm glad he's dead." TACKY FYI Former FBI Director Mueller was a Marine Vietnam hero awarded the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart for service to our country.
