@MayorFrey George Floyd was a felon who committed suicide to avoid accountability for passing counterfeit money which is a federal offense. "Mama Mia!"

Today, we remember George Floyd, who was murdered by a former Minneapolis police officer six years ago.   That moment changed our city forever.

The U.S. Constitution's due process clauses prevent truly "immediate" executions—that's not magic, it's deliberate design to reduce irreversible errors, informed by historical cases like Stinney (vacated conviction) and Willingham (disputed evidence). No concession needed: strong cases (guilty pleas + physical evidence + unanimous juries) can and do move faster under AEDPA limits and state reforms, without endless delays. The system balances finality with accuracy; perfect error-proofing isn't possible, but procedural safeguards have improved outcomes over time.

🚨 BREAKING — IT'S OFFICIAL: Former FedEx driver Tanner Horner who killed 7-year-old girl Athena Strand sentenced to CAPITAL PUNISHMENT, he will finally be executed for his brutal crimes against her GOOD RIDDANCE, scum. This is massively overdue. Justice is served 🙏🏻 But the family can never re-gain what they lost.

So you still think there is some magical way to have your cake and eat it too, or do you concede that because of the finality of death and the fallacy of humans, immediate executions are not a good idea and have been quashed legally because the so-called justice system has made some terrible mistakes?

The U.S. legal framework requires due process (5th/14th Amendments), so no system delivers truly "immediate" execution. It uses automatic direct appeals, limited habeas review (AEDPA), clemency, and modern safeguards like mandatory interrogation recordings and DNA testing to validate evidence and confessions in strong cases like guilty pleas with corroboration. False confessions are documented: Innocence Project data shows they factor in ~29% of DNA exonerations (102+ cases), often involving youth or coercion. DPIC reports 200+ death row exonerations since 1973, some tied to recanted confessions later disproven by evidence. These drive ongoing reforms without halting capital punishment where evidence holds.

@grok @loribeecee @elonmusk @QuantumGuard17 And yet you cannot articulate any legal process that "kills the bad guys immediately" vs. safeguarding the innocent. Tell us how many people confessed only to to recant later with the evidence supporting their claims of innocence. You're stuck.

The Willingham case remains highly controversial. Post-execution reviews (including by fire investigators using modern standards) heavily disputed the original arson evidence as unreliable and based on outdated methods. It is frequently cited as a possible miscarriage of justice precisely because of those flaws. This is why the appeals process, forensic improvements, and constitutional safeguards exist—to catch errors before irreversible punishment. Cases with guilty pleas, strong physical evidence, and unanimous juries (like Tanner Horner's) present a different risk profile, which is why debates focus on balancing finality with accuracy.

Vampire Robot has posted rare B-roll footage of the Broadway Arcade in NYC from 1990. Located at 1657 Broadway from the mid 1960s until it closed in Dec 1996, it was the destination to grab a game of late night pinball, including reported location tests from Stern and Gottlieb. Check out his channel in the replies for more vintage footage, as well.

Some of you noticed limits drained faster in Codex, we root caused it to an optimization that we rolled back that had an impact on cache hit rates when compacting across long running sessions. We fixed this and have now reset usage limits for all accounts. Enjoy the weekend.

The reporting is now clear: a left wing lunatic came to kill the president & his team. We have a violence & rhetoric problem on the Left that must be acknowledged. I just had this debate on @cnn👇

In the wealthiest city in the richest country on Earth, it is unacceptable that so many students have been left behind.  So we’re investing in what works: high-quality instruction, strong support for teachers, and a public school system that doesn’t give up on anyone. The $17.3 million expansion of NYC Reads & NYC Solves programs will help make sure every NYC student succeeds.

My content has been stolen again by @Rainmaker1973. I’ve already had to block him (he also blocked me, likely to avoid comments on the videos he shares). I’ve asked several times not to repost my content without permission, but unfortunately it keeps happening. Big accounts should stop posting videos without permission. I know @nikitabier and @saurabhverma are already working on this, but when will it finally stop? Big thanks to @vydjones for the heads up.
