Anthropic just announced the "Claude Certified Architect" program. And you can start today. In 16 years of my professional career, I haven't done a single certification. Not one. Not AWS. Not Azure. Not Google Cloud. Not PMP. Not Scrum. Not any of the alphabet soup. I learned by building. By breaking things. By shipping. But I'm about to break that streak. I'm going for my first-ever certification: Claude Certified Architect — Foundations Here's why this matters — especially if you're a developer, engineer, or any professional who feels like the AI wave is moving too fast. Claude Code launched a few weeks ago. And it feels like a paradigm shift. Not an incremental upgrade. Not another chatbot wrapper. A fundamentally different way of building software. Agentic architecture. Tool orchestration. MCP integration. Context management at a systems level. If those words sound intimidating — that's exactly why this certification exists. It covers everything from agentic orchestration to prompt engineering to Claude Code workflows. Not surface-level content. And here's what got me: It costs nothing. Free. Zero. $0. So if you've been feeling left behind... If you've been watching others ship AI agents while you're still figuring out where to start... If you've been telling yourself "I'll learn this next quarter"... This is your sign. Stop scrolling. Start building. First certification in 16 years. Let's see how this goes. @bcherny @trq212 @claudeai wow!! this new Superpowers Brainstorming feature in CC is unbelievable! can you fix the ui to have some idea on the tokens consumed though plus somehow let me export / save the brainstorming pages/views " Some of what we're working on might be easier to explain if I can show it to you in a web browser. I can put together mockups, diagrams, comparisons, and other visuals as we go. This feature is still new and can be token-intensive. Want to try it? (Requires opening a local URL)"

Sam Altman is the most dangerous man in the world right now - and it has nothing to do with his recent Department of War deal. Something far more unsettling is happening behind the scenes. Millions of people are about to be displaced. You'll understand after watching this:

i made a 3-day Claude Cowork for Beginners course, and it's yours for free by the end, you'll have a personalized AI teammate on your computer that: • knows your style • connects to your tools • and produces finished work you can send immediately here's what you get: day 1: install cowork, set global instructions, and run your first real task (15 min) day 2: workflows that replaced hours of my week, including building landing pages from a description and running full competitive analyses in one prompt day 3: skills, plugins, and connectors so cowork actually knows how you work and can access your tools + copy-paste prompts so you can follow along as you read like + comment "COWORK" and i'll DM it to you

This is gold. If you install Claude on your machine and want to have a proper setup with Cowork because you feel it's the right tool for you, follow these instructions. ruben.substack.com/p/i-am-just-a-… You will spend a few hours discussing with Claude about you and your business. But this will help you reveal so much about yourself, and in the end you'll a much better prepared AI assistant for your needs.

Terminal Agents is exactly the right framing, Simon. It moves the conversation from 'chatbots' to 'infrastructure.' For those of us in high-stakes fields like finance, the terminal is where the real work happens. This category is about making the command line the ultimate leverage point for professionals.

Exactly—the 'Intelligence' in AI still needs a financial context to be actionable. At Financial Arena, we see that the biggest impact comes when executives treat AI as a multiplier for their existing expertise, not a replacement for fundamental modeling logic. Bridging that gap is the real challenge.

The financial services industry stands at a crossroads. AI has moved from being an experiment to an expectation and yet only a few initiatives deliver lasting business impact. At Intellect, we’ve seen firsthand that technology alone isn’t the answer. AI can create insight, but without Design Thinking, it rarely translates into action. By placing human needs at the centre and applying a structured discipline to innovation, Design Thinking bridges this gap between intelligence and impact. This focus on bridging intelligence and impact is at the core of "Design Thinking for AI First", a 3-day residential program (Nov 13–15, Chennai), that will bring together leaders and innovators to reimagine how AI can drive measurable business growth. This isn’t a conference. It’s a convergence of minds shaping the future of AI in finance. #Intellect #eMACHai #ResidentialProgram

Fascinating deep dive on the shift toward reasoning and modular systems. In our training, we're seeing this exact trend: users are moving past simple 'summarization' and into complex agentic workflows for financial analysis. The transition to RAG-based systems is becoming a must-have for institutional desks.

This paper shows how finance NLP changed with generative AI using a knowledge graph tool. It introduces MetaGraph, a method that turns research papers into a structured knowledge graph that can be searched. Using this graph, the authors study 681 papers from 2022 to 2025 and track tasks, datasets, techniques, and known limits. They find 3 phases, early adoption with new tasks and datasets, a turn toward limits like reasoning and safety, then modular systems that mix LLMs with retrieval and agents. Financial question answering becomes the center of gravity while old standbys like pure sentiment analysis fade into supporting roles. Datasets widen beyond news to tables, charts, audio, and company filings, and synthetic data trims labeling cost. Work shifts from single models to systems, so retrieval augmented generation, chain of thought, and self critique see more use. Open models gain share as teams balance control with cost, and model size growth slows as efficiency matters more. The takeaway is practical, build finance NLP as a system around retrieval, reasoning, and reliability, not as a single prompt. ---- Paper – arxiv. org/abs/2509.09544 Paper Title: "Prompting the Market? A Large-Scale Meta-Analysis of GenAI in Finance NLP (2022-2025)"

Spot on. We're moving from 'doing the work' to 'reviewing the machine.' The new CFO path requires mastering the bridge between raw financial data and AI validation. It's why we've pivoted our AI in Finance masterclass trainings to focus heavily on AI-integrated workflows—human oversight is the new high-value skill.

The Secret CFO
The Secret CFO@SecretCFO·
The trickiest question about AI in finance? It’s not ‘what tools are the best?’ or ‘how do we address privacy concerns?’ or even ‘how many jobs will it replace?’ It is this… How will we develop and nurture future CFOs? What will the paths to CFO look like once finance teams have been gutted by AI? How do you build the generalist skills a CFO needs in a world where specialist skills will rule the day? What should growing finance pros do today to make sure they are future proof? That is what this week’s edition of CFO Secrets is about. It is the final part of a iv part series breaking down what the future of the CFO role looks like. Don’t miss this one, it’s important. The Khorramshahr (aka Kheibar-4) is an Iranian MRBM with 2,000 km range and 1,500-1,800 kg warhead capacity. In its cluster configuration, it disperses ~20+ submunitions (each ~2-5 kg explosives) over a wide area (up to 10-16 km diameter), saturating soft targets like airfields, vehicles, or troops for broad damage rather than deep penetration. A unitary HE version packs ~1.5+ tons TNT-equivalent force, enough to crater 20-30m wide and destroy buildings/vehicles within 100-200m radius on impact. Effectiveness depends on fuse, accuracy (~1 km CEP), and defenses.

I don't trust Qwen models, even the large ones. I trust small ones even less. Qwen has been benchmaxing its models since the very beginning, so the benchmark performance of a 4B parameter model beating Gemini 2.5 Flash Lite is most likely just the benchmark performance only. 4B is just not enough to store any general intelligence because most of the parameters will still be used to store facts. Well, not facts, but something that remains of them.

Look, Qwen 3.5 35b A3B and the mini 9b is neat and all, but you idgets need to calm it wayyyy down on the outright lies and exaggerations on its capabilities. It is not sonnet level, it is not opus level, its not GPT level. It is not anywhere near Frontier model levels, locally. Its a good local model and a step in the right direction for sure, but many of you are on here outright lying about what it can really do. Stop it.

🚀 Introducing the Qwen 3.5 Small Model Series Qwen3.5-0.8B · Qwen3.5-2B · Qwen3.5-4B · Qwen3.5-9B ✨ More intelligence, less compute. These small models are built on the same Qwen3.5 foundation — native multimodal, improved architecture, scaled RL: • 0.8B / 2B → tiny, fast, great for edge device • 4B → a surprisingly strong multimodal base for lightweight agents • 9B → compact, but already closing the gap with much larger models And yes — we’re also releasing the Base models as well. We hope this better supports research, experimentation, and real-world industrial innovation. Hugging Face: huggingface.co/collections/Qw… ModelScope: modelscope.cn/collections/Qw…
