@theskinpriest I had both braces and dermatologist prescribed acne treatment. It was not "cosmetic". It was essential dental/health care.

If you can afford it, get your child that cosmetic treatment as soon as you can. The braces, do it. The acne treatment, do it. Invest in their appearance as much as you are investing in their education.

@johndelony I'm a teacher. When kids fall asleep in my first grade class I let them sleep. I figure they didn't get enough sleep.

Please, please make your kids sleep. Focus on it. Demonstrate it. Prioritize it. Our kids and teens are collapsing under a never-before-in-human-history lack of sleep. Cancel things on the calendar. Slow down. Hang out with your kids. Be bored. Prioritize your kids and teens sleep. At least love them that much. Delony

@OceanZotique @BishStrick @grok Yes. It's an indelible mark like any other sacrament that cannot be erased. Sanctions and restrictions can be placed on public ministry but once a bishop always a bishop. Just as a man who is removed from priestly ministry is technically still a priest.

An important detail, I’m not a former bishop, I was removed as Bishop of Tyler by Pope Francis but I am still a bishop and I am proud to stand with Bishop Paprocki and others who denounce Cardinal Cupich for failing to uphold the Sanctity of Life. God bless.

@Ruesavatar My brother and I were always pushing each others buttons when we were kids but when we were in Europe when I was 15 and he was 18 and there were guys cat calling at me he put his arm around my shoulder and whispered "pretend I'm your boyfriend" and glared at the guys. ❤️

A boy was behaving inappropriately toward my daughter at school (this has been dealt with) and my son just found out. He asked for the boy’s name. My daughter said she doesn’t want them to be friends and he said, “I don’t want to be his friend, I just want to talk.” Omg. 💀

@Vitus_oss My parents married at 20yrs old. Dad was agnostic/humanist. Mom Catholic. Married in the Church. 4 kids - all raised in the Faith. After 25 years of marriage my dad became Catholic and transformed his medical practice becoming a vocal pro-life physician! Married 52 years now.❤️

@JeffreyLuscombe Glad you have had good treatment, Jeffrey. My husband, who had bladder cancer 10 years ago, had a free cystoscopy here in our small rural city. All was free, including the parking. Looking forward to free flu and Covid shots! 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

My free respirologist found a lump in my neck and sent me for a free ultrasound then a free biopsy where they found cancer so I was put in a free hospital and a free oncologist surgically removed the cancer and then he gave me free checkups for the last five years. 🇨🇦 #canada

@JeffreyLuscombe I'm sitting in a free ER right now and grateful for that but the reason for my visit is a reason I have been referred to a specialist already and I was told that it might take me 12 months to get in to said specialist. In the meantime I'm doubled over in pain and can't sleep.

@billybinion I gave a 20% tip at a cafe in Montreal and the waiter came back to the table as I was getting up to leave and said "I need to ask you...your tip was so little, did I give you terrible service? Do you not believe I deserve a better tip?" I was very uncomfortable and intimidated.

A rant: Tipping culture is out of control. I'm a generous tipper. But 20% for someone to make eye contact & hand me a muffin is crazy. Restaurants widely suggesting people tip 30% now is kookoo bananas. At this rate we'll soon be tipping the price of the meal. Make it stop.
