@AhluwaliaReena @AlisonKabaroff I have worked with great NP's (mostly in hospital acute care settings). My question in a curious sense (not an attack) - what is the training in grad school part of NP education? Residency training is highly prescripted in Canada ie. mandatory rotations, exams, etc. Same?

Can we please stop saying that NPs are a replacement for Family Physicians? The training is fundamentally different. There is no replacement for a well trained FP.
