We have laws and rules, which he formally agreed to when he stood for election.He could have kept the money if he disclosed it (£5m gifted by x on x date). But he clearly didn't want to. As Sir Humph said: never hide what can be found.

@Testr355 @MartinDaubney Surely that’s why he said, let people in Clacton judge me for my actions. Does the money affect how he represents them? They can decade, not the media or a panel of MPs that are already prejudice against him

@doffcocker_ @MartinDaubney Guilt as in he didn't disclose. He didn't, so he will be found to have acted improperly. I voted Reform in May, and don't hate him but he's been so stupid lately.

@doffcocker_ @MartinDaubney He has admitted it though. He admits the gift. he admits not disclosing it. He's guilty. What he does is discuss why he received it - which is politically nessassary, but doesn't change guilt where it matters under the rules.His receipt is less important there tahn disclosure
