@RuinsMan Both of these make me sick just looking at them and thinking about the ecological implications and blind consumerism

Tokyo is a disgusting city. It’s just Cairo or Mogadishu with more old people and better PR. Mega cities are just monstrosities no matter what you do.

There is absolutely zero excuse for anybody living in the United Kingdom to be buying foreign butter.

@MerryOlEngland Buy British! Our north Atlantic climate gives us some of the most productive grassland on the planet, which feeds some of the healthiest, happiest cows, who produce some of the richest, creamiest butters.

England is now a place where it's historic, timber framed buildings are becoming tacky Kebab Houses. 16 Meer Street, Stratford Upon Avon, Warwickshire.

For the people who see things like this and think, "Oh, that's so awful. There are good migrants too, you know." Yeah, there are, and they also have a homeland they can go back to. We don't.
TheLiberal.ie@TheLiberal_ie

We don’t fool around in Ireland 🇮🇪 Belfast boys went door-to-door seeking out migrant-occupied houses. They had enough of ultra-violent migrant attacks on Irish people. The government started all of this, but by God will the Irish finish it. Follow us and share

It is a characteristic of such conflicts that both sides are in an innovation race. The protesters, for instance, might "discover" thermite (as the Ukrainians have done). It is very easy to make from commercial materials and devastatingly effective. The police would then have to develop a counter, and so the cycle would go on.

Petrol bombs are cheap, but ineffective against armored trucks. But I bet drones could fly them right into the most vulnerable components, disabling fifty thousand dollar police vehicles for a few hundred dollars in ordinance, while the pilot rests in the comfort of his home a kilometre away. This could be done while the vehicles are in the parking lot, before they even deploy. No one should ever do this.

It would be Odd a big music guy didn't have a decent pair of headphones & only listened through phone speakers. It would be Odd for a cinephile to watch movies on their phone. But because games aren't art & it's slightly less convenient, people will make all kinds of excuses.

@amazonmilkfrog sure but it's also very different from other Latinate alphabets. having an orthography that's intuitive to English speakers (who make up the vast majority of Irish nationals) is a boon to language revival efforts. not to mention it's ugly and overwrought.

do the Irish know they can do orthographic reform? you don't have to keep spelling things Béal Feirste or Saoirse or Niamh. you can change the spellings. "but it's not English, that's how it's spelled." yeah and you don't speak it anymore so maybe it's time for change.

If I didn’t feel safe in a foreign country I’d take the hint. I don’t see why Northern Ireland has to be the utopia for anyone who can’t cut it in their home country. We never claimed to be one!!!

@EO_Halloran Maybe focus on the root cause and not the second order of effects the riots occurred due to a African migrant that has entered the country due to incompetent government policy trying to behead a white man in the street I dont support the riots but I understand why they happened

@CDP1882 I thought it was reported they were burning down HMOs or migrants' houses? Was this due to it being adjacent one of these in a terraced street, or were they just setting fire to rando's houses?

Jimmy Corry has lived on this Belfast street for 13 years. Now he’s homeless. He’s lost sentimental items forever, including his dad’s possessions. He told me that he shares the anger many feel about the attack on Monday night but that burning down houses won’t solve anything.
