@eenLien As an ENVX fan, I feel guilty saying this, but $SLDP may rally toward the end of this month. Its pilot line SAT wasn’t finished last year as promised, causing a sharp decline, but its completion is likely to be announced by the end of this month.

For instance, the cycle life of 300 cycles at 100% DOD increases more than twofold to 700 cycles at 70% DOD. Refer to Amprius for this correlation.

@stefanpu13 @spenbaker @notcryptonative Cycle life also seems to vary greatly depending on the depth of discharge (DOD). Amprius’s official website distinguishes between cycle life at 100% DOD and at 70% DOD, and it indicates that at 70% DOD, the cycle life more than doubles.

They are mainly designed for the way the phone is used. So, waiver, very unlikely, adapted testing protocol has some chance because this is cycle life testing.

Some on here are saying Honor doesn’t need Envx, blithely claiming that their own battery tech is just as good For one thing, Europe and US will increasingly put restrictions on Chinese batteries (for example, the recent Buy EU policy). While Chinese phone makers like Honor often provide physically larger batteries than Western competitors, independent tests show their real-world performance often falls short of advertised longevity Honor has historically claimed 2 days of battery life for models like the Honor 7, though independent reviewers found they struggled to get 1.5 days under normal use While large energy capacities are common, poor software optimisation can lead to high standby drain. Tests on the Honor 8 Pro showed 8–9% battery loss overnight despite being in Doze mode Both Huawei and Honor have faced accusations of using performance test modes that artificially boost scores in benchmark apps, producing results that do not reflect everyday usage

I do have a report of a 504 Wh/L, 1,321 Wh/L SiMaxx cell - Amprius RD1039-R49- published by Mobile Power Solutions in March 2023. But to get those densities, the discharge rate was just 0.1C - that is, inappropriate for drones.

@MarketMused Adding context. $ENVX is at 800 cycles on their 950 Wh/l battery (they want to reach 1000 cylces). $AMPX has a more dense battery available but for sure with a lower battery cycle. Haven´t found detailed info on the 520Wh/Kg (1150 Wh/l) battery yet. ir.enovix.com/node/12876/pdf

Share price at bottom for a reason - didn't deliver as promised so far! It's about risk vs reward. Invest in next gen battery industry makes sense in general.

@spenbaker @wert125125 @Help3535 Drone batteries vary by purpose, and $AMPX excels at small‑batch, multi‑variety production. Even orders of hundreds are accepted by AMPX, but $ENVX specializes in large‑scale, limited‑variety manufacturing. ENVX would only take orders of at least tens of thousands.
