After even 48 hours in Chicago I must say, the pervasive litany of small crimes perpetrated by black people against white people on a daily basis that goes totally unenforced and unacknowledged amounts to a genuine tragedy, just the sort of slow socioeconomic torture that our history books love to depict as “wrong side of history.” On every level, whites are expected to remain meek and supplicant as they and even their children are put in danger and abused on a daily basis in all sorts of ways, whether walking down the street, getting lunch, renting a car, or God forbid getting on an airplane. Whites must remain constantly apologetic, silent, and careful—always treating blacks like a potential bomb about to go off. Blacks are in general overtly mean, threatening, often violent and use every bit of their power in almost any situation to dominate and harass, all while of course paying on average zero taxes. I grew up here, in Evanston, a town that literally has reparations, and I remember it being bad then but it seems to have gotten so much worse—the second you exit segregated white people zones theres a palpable tension and sense of alarm. This is different than LA which, while plagued by different problems, is only 8% black. What’s more is that every single white person of any means in Chicago both 1) completely extricates themselves from any situation in which they’re not overtly separated from blacks whether by geographic, physical, or class barriers (eg a 5 star hotel) and 2) utterly refuses to address the situation out loud. Every middle class white, it seems, basically has Stockholm Syndrome—convincing themselves that the reason they’re being glared at, shouted at, and pushed around while merely attempting to take the subway, use the laundromat, grab a coffee or attend a museum with their child is actually their fault. I remain not an actual racist, because of course there are many many exceptions and all are equal in the eyes of God (although that doesn’t mean the same), but forcing these groups together to the degree that one so totally dominates the other, one is literally forced to pay for its own abuse, has to be one of the great crimes against humanity in history. Simply untenable. You should never accept living this way. Fight back.
