The World Cup begins tomorrow, and many will watch the matches. Soccer reminds us of something we must not forget: life is not a race to show off on our own, but a path we learn to walk together. Anyone who does not know how to pass the ball, even if they have talent, has not yet understood the game. Anyone who does not know how to live with and for others has not yet understood life. #ApostolicJourney

God is not obligated to bring to pass what we say, but He is obligated to bring to pass what He says. When He hears His promises coming out of your mouth, angels go to work, forces of darkness are pushed back, favor is released in a new way.

Holy Monday Reflection – The Anointing at Bethany🇻🇦 As we journey through Holy Week, today’s Gospel (John 12:1-11) invites us to reflect on Mary’s profound act of love. She anoints Jesus’ feet with costly perfume, an extravagant gesture of devotion, preparing Him for His burial. Her actions remind us that true love holds nothing back, it pours out everything for the beloved, just as Jesus will soon pour out His life for us on the Cross. In a world that often values practicality over sacrifice, Mary challenges us to ask: How am I giving my best to Christ? Am I willing to offer Him my time, my talents, my heart, even when it costs me something? Let’s also notice Judas’ reaction. His concern for the poor masks a selfish heart, a stark contrast to Mary’s selflessness. This Holy Monday, let’s examine our own motives. Are we serving Jesus with pure love, or are we holding back, distracted by our own agendas? Prayer for Holy Monday: Lord Jesus, You accepted Mary’s gift of love with humility and gratitude, seeing the beauty of her heart. Help me to love You with that same selfless attitude, to offer You the best of myself without counting the cost. Cleanse my heart of selfish motives, and teach me to serve You and others with sincerity. As I walk with You this Holy Week, prepare me to embrace the mystery of Your Passion, so that I may share in the glory of Your Resurrection. Amen.

Speaking about the deep contradictions in human nature, Japanese actor Hiroyuki Sanada said: “Some people dream of having a swimming pool at home, while those who have one barely use it. Those who have lost a loved one feel a profound sense of loss, while others often complain about the relatives still in their lives. Those without a partner long for one, while those who have a partner often fail to appreciate them. The hungry would give anything for a meal, while the full complain about the taste of their food. Those without a car dream of owning one, while those who have a car are always looking for a better one. The key to happiness is gratitude—to truly see and value what we already have, and to understand that somewhere, someone would give everything for what we take for granted.”

Isaac found his wife Rebekah at a well Jacob found his wife Rachel at a well Moses found his wife Zipporah at a well And Jesus? At the well, He meets the Samaritan woman, and in her, He meets each of us. She is the image of the thirsty human soul, searching, broken, and yet loved and deeply desired by God. The well becomes a place of encounter. The water is no longer just for the body, but the living water of grace, the Holy Spirit, and the new life God gives. Christ is the Bridegroom, and we, His people, are the Bride. The Church is the place where we return again and again to draw from Him. In baptism and in the life of faith, we are brought into covenant love with Christ, the Bridegroom of the Church. He still waits for us at the well, in the Church, in prayer, in His Word, and in the sacraments. Will you come and drink from His living spring? Happy Sunday, friends 🎉
