Anyone who listened to this fair, thorough and nuanced discussion on the Bulwark knows that @SarahLongwell25 cares much more about the survival of democracy and the Democratic Party than herself. Listen for yourself instead of taking the bait.


I agree. The only possible way Trump could’ve been elected was if there was a profound betrayal of the entire Democratic process by the opponent - which there was — it was so deeply offensive to the core principals of our country that many people felt they had no choice, but to choose for this….

Economists have never had more power in governance and society than they have for the past few decades, which is why everything is going awesome!


6:49am: sudden spike in oil futures trading. no news. no announcement. nothing public. 7:05am: trump announces a pause on iran strikes. markets move. someone knew. 16 minutes early. $580 million in contracts. the corruption is staggering.

I think Zohran's co-opting of efficiency from the right will be seismic for the American socialist project. We need to run a national campaign against The Contractor State—neoliberalism's grand, massively inefficient outsourcing of government functions to private contractors.

Drug design is effectively being solved by AI at this point but figuring out the right targets for the drug is still a major challenge.
