It's funny to me that Pitt and WVU hate each other the way they do. Being objective, I love both teams, cultures, playstyles, etc. Most of those are similarities with the two teams. I think it's the intensity and passion both sides have that fuels the toxicity that's there.

@MikeAsti11 As much as I want to argue with you, in a sense you're right, they didn't really capitalize on him. But also you know, Larry got robbed of the Heisman. That isn't wasted. They fed him the ball, and he was incredible, and Pitt did a lot of Pitt things, hence the results.

This would hit harder from Larry Fitz if he didn’t have academic issues before going to Pitt and end up as a University of Phoenix grad. It is a shame Pitt mostly wasted his greatness though.

The Plight of Pitt Athletics /////////// I know I go after Pitt & fans. It was once a great rivalry between Pitt & PSU. But it genuinely pains me to see what has happened. And I wanted to speak on it, honestly. Pitt Athletics: - Major metro & media market - Major airport - Three pro sports teams - Plays in NFL stadium Yet for decades has been surpassed in every metric by a team 2.5 hours away in a small town, surrounded by cows, mountains & Amish people, where players have to be shuttled 1.5 hours to a real airport & was punished by the NCAA for one of the worst "scandals" in college football. And while Narduzzi spends every off-season pointing at PSU & ginning up anger, no one asks "what are WE doing to make the situation better?" There's ZERO reason Pitt should be in this condition. Plenty of other schools have navigated the changes. But a consistent culture of "good" for years & a coach w ZERO vision is WHY Pitt is here, now. James Franklin came in & worked very hard to get PSU where it is. Pitt is tarping off virtually HALF the stadium. Now discussing cutting track & field. What are we doing?? It's very sad. For the fans, the community & once a great program. I legitimately feel like I care more about Pitt football than the Pittsburgh sports media. At least I'm asking the questions. I love all college football. Being mad at PSU doesn't fix Pitt. And unless there's a drastic change in mindset & leadership, Pitt sports, just like its success, will be history. #hail2pitt #weare
