This is ridiculous. Disappointed in George. Pass it on to the next generation. There's been more than one Iceman.

NBA Hall of Famer George Gervin is attempting to stop Bears QB Caleb Williams from trademarking “Iceman” “He’s already proved greatness and his potential upside is great. Like an ‘Iceman.’ But that name is taken.. we’ve already got one ‘Iceman.’” h/t @jjones9

@raywylie We love you, and my wife wants to know when you’re coming to Chicago.

Cubs manager Craig Counsell informed Moisés Ballesteros that he will be on the team’s Opening Day roster.

In Princeton NJ, where the median home costs $1 million, residents are fighting a plan for 238 apartments on the grounds of a former seminary. Leading the resistance: historian Sean Wilentz. "We are being accused of being racist," he said. @timcraigpost: wapo.st/4rBmPtC

it's possible to be sympathetic with both subject & biographer. no one wants to read--or to write--a hagiography in which the subject is presented as a beacon of perfection; but the stereotypical goal of "warts & all" suggests a wish to diminish the subject through small, petty details. (are warts so very common? in fact, who has warts today?) in an effort to appear to be even-handed, a biographer may feel the need to include derogatory remarks about the subject provided by interviewees who are not even accurate, or excerpts from mean-spirited reviews of the kind all writers receive occasionally. how fair is this? details about Judy Blume's medical history should surely remain private. would the biographer feel comfortable with such details about his own life revealed?
