First time I saw Pulp Fiction was in like, 2004 or so and the 5 dollar milkshake line always stuck out. Seemed like a normal price for a milkshake. It made me wonder if the movie was supposed to be set in the 70s or something.

That’s the real risk. nuclear plants require tons of pro-science funding and constant attention, you can’t just turn it off and walk away.

it’s not the nuclear waste itself, it’s that a nuclear power plant requires our society to stay in its modern, technologically advanced state, with competent scientists and political leaders at the wheel, forever.
