Why do you think in 1792 they choose to take from the 1st Tuesday in November until the 3rd week in January to count and swear in the President

Using taxpayer funds to fly to Olympics to drink is outrageous.
But snorkeling around the USS Arizona, a hallowed site where 1,177 Americans died, is downright shameful.

Trump is negotiating to settle his lawsuit against his own IRS, and one of the remedies being floated (along with almost 2 billion dollars) is the IRS dropping all audits of Trump, his family, and his businesses.

@sightONsound @iamalmostlegend Nothing worse than stupid people calling other people dumb. Slave states were worried that because only free people had the right to vote. Northern states would always choose the president because their voters outnumbered the South. Nothing to do with counting in 1792

@iamalmostlegend You are fucking dumb. How is a direct popular vote happening in 1792? Structurally the electoral college makes total sense with the smallest amount of research. Us still inheriting that system is what doesn't make sense

Democrats love to play these word games while ignoring the real numbers.
Under Trump (pre-COVID): gas was $2.50-$2.80 a gallon.
Under Biden-Harris: it spiked to $5+ in many places because they killed American energy.
Now under Trump again: prices are coming back down.
Saying “that’s life” isn’t the point. The point is your policies destroyed affordability, and now you’re mad that Trump is fixing what you broke.
Americans remember who made life expensive.

OUTRAGEOUS. The husband of this US citizen did literally nothing wrong. He submitted his renewal to @USCIS five months before his status was set to expire. Then the government just sat on his paperwork and did nothing, and his protections expired.

As a principled libertarian, I mostly ignore it when Trump sics the FBI on his critics, threatens broadcasting licenses, and celebrates the murders of protesters. But when a few kids at NYU criticize Jon Haidt, well, that's where I draw the line.
