Dear @Arsenal F.C., One of your supporters, #ArefJafarzadeh from #Iran, will never again have the chance to celebrate Arsenal’s victories, sing for his team, and watch his beloved club play. He was #killed during the Iranian protests by the mullah regime. Aref loved Arsenal so much that his image wearing an Arsenal shirt was placed on his gravestone, and the Arsenal club crest was engraved on it as well. Aref loved Arsenal with all his heart. It would be meaningful for Arsenal Football Club to remember a supporter who never had the chance to visit the Emirates Stadium and sadly now never will. He and millions of other young Iranians who love football are being held captive by a terrorist regime. And the smell of oil has prevented the world from sensing the smell of these young people’s blood.

Weakened how? They still have the ability to crack down on people; they’re thousands in prisons being executed every day. They’re just an angry, wounded lion. In order for people to succeed, there needs to be a fracture within the forces, the army! People need weapons or an army on their side! People in Iran have shown grave bravery which the world could see! Not just once! So you can’t frame it like “oh they don’t want to, otherwise they can”! Search #IranMassacre‌ and watch the videos, then you understand it better! I mean you might understand it better! Warning: there will be videos and images of human flesh and brain in the streets! Wounded patients in hospital with a gun shot in their forehead.

@dorikh @MrLukeGeorge I absolutely do understand the nature of the regime. It is a brutal theocracy, and it will kill thousands without thinking twice. The US and Israel have just weakened the IRGC about as much as we can. The rest is up to the Iranian people. It is what it is /shrug

When children are in school, they’re the staff’s responsibility; the teachers. If they felt or they knew something was going to happen, why didn’t they take the children out? Why are the journalists not asking these questions? Why didn’t the regime order to shut down schools? They knew the war had started. It doesn’t mean the US and Israel are not responsible; it’s a crime to target an area where there’s a school; however, journalists don’t seem to think this regime deliberately puts the lives of citizens at risk. The same way they weren’t bothered to question or do field journalism when the regime killed children in middle of streets in January or in 2022 protests. Or when they gassed girls in schools.

So what you are saying is, revolutions are not possible without some super power coming in and doing it for the people? I dunno why you can't understand this? The US and Israel can NOT do this for the Iranian people. We just can't. We can't organize a revolution in Iran. This has to be organic, it has to come from the Iranian people. The Iranian people will have to do this themselves and yes, it will be horrible and bloody.

How many revolutions did you partake in to know what it takes? And how it should be done? Easy for you to say when people should come out, but not for the people who have experienced extreme violence on the streets, being shot or witnessing their loved ones being shot right in their chest, head, genital area, burnt alive!

@MrLukeGeorge The Iranian people just had a month of quiet to get out into the streets and work to overthrow their government. They didn't. The US nor Israel can do this for them. This is their shot to change the government. If they won't take it, well, it's their own problem.

Alireza Khani Shakarab, a political prisoner sentenced to death was transferred yesterday from Evin Prison to Qezel Hesar Prison. No details are publicly known about his case, including the date of his arrest, the court branch that issued the sentence, or other legal proceedings. Over the past two months, a large number of death sentences have been carried out in Iran, and executions in Tehran are typically carried out in Qezel Hesar Prison. His transfer has therefore raised serious fears that his execution may be imminent. #Iran

😶 Metrics show that #Iran's internet blackout is ongoing into its 79th day in its twelfth week. The mass-censorship measure has reshaped the nature of civic participation with information controls being used to relegate the general public to mere observers in their own country.

It has now been 78 days of Iranians inside Iran not having access to internet. So many have lost their jobs, can’t afford to buy the basics, pay rent, feed their family. 77 days of a brutal regime cutting off a large group of people from the world and providing access for only those who support a regime that kills for its survival! #Iran #DigitalBlackOutIran

⏳ The digital blackout in #Iran has just entered its twelfth week and is now in its 78th day. The internet shutdown, which has sent a country of 90 million largely offline for an unprecedented duration, continues to erode human rights, the economy and basic liberties at scale.

#محمد_عباسی Mohammad Abbasi, who was arrested during the January protests, was also executed today. His daughter, Fatemeh Abbasi, was arrested alongside him and sentenced to 25 years in prison. The regime authorities accused him of killing someone during the protests, based on forced confessions. No one talks enough about the executions in Iran. These are innocent people! They are not only killing people in the streets. They are burying lives behind prison walls and execution chambers, while the world scrolls past in silence. @UN_HRC

The regime executed Ehsan Afreshteh this morning. He was a 31 years old, held a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and was a talented network and IT specialist. Isfahan and raised in Tehran. He had been living in Turkey when the regime deceived his father into persuading Ehsan to return to Iran, telling him that he was not in any danger. Ehsan returned to Iran and was sentenced to death. After the death sentence was issued for his son, his father suffered a stroke and lost his life. The media, international community, other states, @UN_HRC remain quiet!

All the mothers in this video, and thousands upon thousands more across Iran, lost their children to the brutality of the Islamic Republic regime. Their children were taken from them through killings on the streets, executions, torture, or forced disappearances. Many more are still imprisoned. Many children also lost their mothers for standing up for the most basic human rights and freedoms. Many mothers remain in prison today, including Narges Mohammadi, Fatemeh Sepehri, Nasimeh Islam Zehi, and countless others. May the day come when no mother has to bury her child for seeking the most basic human rights, for the crime of speaking of justice and freedom. May the day come when no child has to bury the bullet-ridden body of their mother. May the day come when mothers seeking justice, and children seeking justice for their mothers, can see the killers of their loved ones condemned in a fair court. For all the grieving mothers of Iran, and for the children who have endured the pain of losing their mothers. Long live freedom. Long live Iran. Long live the mothers who were free in spirit, and who raised free children on this soil. #HappyMothersDay
