I'm always blown away by the fact that Rockstar Games casually made some of the best and most realistic water physics in 2008.
GTA IV is the prime example of Rockstar Games focusing heavily on bringing realistic physics in a video-game.
Everything from how a car handles, NPC ragdoll and water simulation in Grand Theft Auto IV was way ahead of its time and it even beats most of AAA games that we've seen these past few years when it comes to those game mechanics.
Imagine how much ahead GTA 6 is going to be now that Rockstar Games has much more processing power to work with on current gen consoles
