Local govts in FL took in $32 billion in property tax revenue in 2019 (the state doesn’t get property tax revenue).
In 2026 local govts are taking in $60 billion.
They will still be getting massive amounts of revenue even if homestead properties are exempted.

At the invitation of Admiral Paparo, Commander of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, Director Patel led a senior delegation to INDOPACOM to advance joint operations against our adversaries. As part of this engagement, the delegation participated in a similar tour of the USS Arizona. As is standard practice on these visits, their hosts arranged the same Pearl Harbor tour that has been offered for years to senior administration officials across multiple administrations. This is not a new or a one-off event. The Fake News media is simply trying to smear Director Patel’s name any way they can.
