But a federal jury found him liable for sexual abuse and defamation, awarding E. Jean Carroll over $88 million across two separate trials

The E Jean Carrol case was initially filed in 2019. The alleged event was in 1995. New York passed the survivors Act in 2022 eliminating any statute of limitations. The case was tried in New York. Trump was not found guilty of rape due to no credible evidence.
