@NearestCommit I beg to disagree. For a lot of embedded projects, a global string buffer with an untouchable n+1 zero is a safe and performant option.

@rfleury If you can't tell the difference between 20ms and 200ms, you shouldn't be allowed to drive a car.

I have it on good authority that this is impossible, due to really good reasons you wouldn’t get like “processes are expensive on Windows” and “it’s an entire application”. Even if it were possible, it wouldn’t matter, because both 200ms and 20ms are perceived as “instant”, and so nobody cares if they have one versus the other. Because I can’t tell the difference between 200ms and 20ms, I can only conclude that this video is therefore a fake.
