@Speeginator @KryZenDesigner I would have agreed a few weeks ago, but Nintendo is rectifying this by offering more cart sizes to publishers. That being said if it wasn't a GKC ubislop would have just did a code in the box like they did on the S1.

@cranberryclock @PixelCNinja Also not everyone has easy access to high speed broadband or are forced to use plans with data limits. So having the game data on the cart is beneficial to those people too. Plus as far as I know there is no way to dump S2 carts yet, only S1, which doesnt support GKC.

@cranberryclock @PixelCNinja Nintendo has started offering a wide variety of physical cart Nand sizes, where before it was limited to the maximum 64gb or GKC. This allows devs to reasonably put smaller games, like bravely default, actually on the cartridge instead of going the GKC route.

Went to a retail store, bought myself a brand-new game for the Switch 2… and this is what I get. I miss the days when you bought a game, came home, put it in, and were playing within seconds. Not installs. Not updates. Just straight into the game.

@HeadZonkStudios @Bronymon_ Yeah Nintendo claims all of their in house games will be on the cart, a lot of third partied jumped on the GKC bandwagon initially and got burned hard because no one wants them. Nintendo has apparently started offering smaller cart sizes so more 3P games can be released on cart.

🚨do you understand what happened to Subnautica 2.. a game that was genuinely loved. Very Positive reviews. record player counts. people were excited. then they read the EULA. - you don't OWN the game, you have a LICENSE that can be revoked anytime - they collect your personal data and device information - streaming and recording require disclaimers - mods you create inside their game - they have legal claims over - VPN use is banned - disputes go to arbitration in California only - they can change ANY of these terms whenever they want without asking you people started requesting refunds not because the game is bad - but because they finally READ what they agreed to. the game industry has been doing this for years. Subnautica 2 is just the first time enough people paid attention.
