@wrbluepearl @ShamashAran Nice. PenFed for me since late 2010s. Not having a branch available comes with some challenges, but there have usually been ways to navigate around that.

Hey @JetBlue , when the United Blue Sky partnership launches fully, will this mean a mixed (United+Jetblue) itinerary will automatically forward baggage between airlines?

@TedatPolicyband @YouTubeTV @NXSTMediaGroup @TEGNA The way that Streamers handle local stations should be the new norm for cable/satellite, too. Unfortunately, they seem to want to make it where streaming cos like Youtube TV do retransmission consent with each local broadcaster/group, which is a horrible idea.

The majority of US households do not subscribe to a traditional pay TV package from cable TV or satellite TV. @YouTubeTV refuses to negotiate carriage agreements with @NXSTMediaGroup and @TEGNA. The Big Four do that.
NY AG James@NewYorkStateAG

Nexstar’s illegal merger with Tegna would hurt local news and raise fees for cable customers. I'm suing to stop it.   The law is clear. Mergers that substantially reduce competition are illegal.   We must protect consumers and safeguard the future of local TV.

@RepBrandonGill Contractors seem to move mail here in Maine. Unless there's some sort of mandate and it's being actively enforced, how would they know?

USPS says there are no foreign commercial drivers hauling mail. Mail facilities say it’s closer to half, and many don’t speak English.

@Nithya_Shrii Unfortunately the last version of the iPod was basically a cellular-less iPhone. I can't say I hate the idea though, especially considering the gains in battery and storage tech now.

The 'It should've been 2" but was actually 2 5/16"' is a mistake many of us have made, too, including me. Didn't help that nowhere on there said it was 2 5/16" and everything else I have is 2". Safety chains and, in my case, a properly working trailer brake system, is a must.

Due to circumstances, I now know for sure what the trailer hitch looks like when it is not seated properly and I fully comprehend the value of quality chains.

@Billybobwalter1 I've lived here my entire life and spend a lot of time all over this state. I've seen a ton of deer, 2 moose, and no bears.

Cost of cane sugar compared to corn squeezings is what it boils out to I think. Some people prefer the HFCS variant and it could cannibalize some sales (which is weird too, but..). Kosher Coke seems to finish a bit cleaner for me for whatever reason. It hasn't been available here during Passover since COVID, though.

The photo on the left is an every day bottle of Coke. The photo on the right is a kosher bottle of Coke. They use the same ingredients except one. They use cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup in the kosher bottle. Why not use cane sugar all the time and get rid of the HFC???

@NRSmaine Real ID requires a birth certificate and proof of any name change history too and it's the current 'law of the land' for domestic air travel. I didn't see Janet and the Dems come out against Real ID heavily.

Go to broadbandmap.fcc.gov and put in your address, it'll show your options in your area. Check houses nearby too. It's not perfect because anything built in the last 6 months may not be there yet, but gives you some ideas of who to reach out to. Most places that provide a residential service will also potentially build you as a business account, but it'll probably be decently expensive. A lot of telcos are getting grants to build out fiber to the home to replace their aging copper equipment since it can't deliver fast enough speeds.

Serious question. Anyone know any companies willing to run fiber to a home so I can have some faster uploads? Spectrum is terrible and they don’t have symmetrical uploads where I live yet. Would pay good money to run fiber.

@NRSmaine @TheMaineWire It is a bit interesting to see Peggy go from overseer of broadband in the state (when Susan ran a rural ISP) to being part of NDEC, which Susan apparently started.

.@grahamformaine blamed women for sexual assault, saying they should "take some responsibility for themselves" and "act like an adult." Here's what Maine women had to say about his words.

I was headed to Charlotte and went to the one in Falls Church VA for gas and a Cherry Limeade. My brother didn't believe me and thought I bought stuff. I told the girlfriend 'I just wanted you to see one so you knew what we were getting into when we go to the one in Florence' :D
