@mattshumer_ to be fair, it still takes time and passion to make a game polished. and provide new/exciting content to retain users. hopefully new models will empower them

IMO it really sucks for those who have put their lives into game dev... but ppl burying their heads in the sand are doing themselves (and others) a disservice. The sooner people are aware of what's coming, the sooner they can position themselves well.
Chris@ChrisGPT

As I’ve been saying for the past 6 months the end of indie gaming studios is nigh. Soon it will be in the people’s hands. This is why I love Matt as well, he doesn’t produce slop. He pushes AI models to the max and makes all other demos look like absolute slop.

this paper is pure circlejerk. many of these companies do not care about open source. kinda funny, the most chipper signees are the ones losing the ai flagship

I’m so excited that @JensenHuang is a believer in open source now, looking forward to the CUDA and GPU driver open source release!

For my first post, I’m sharing a letter @NVIDIA signed on why open models matter. AI will transform every industry, power every company, and be built by every country. Open models strengthen safety and cybersecurity, accelerate innovation and diffusion, and enable sovereignty. The world needs both frontier closed models and frontier open models. images.nvidia.com/pdf/Open-Weigh…

i've been really enjoying gemini flash 3.6... same reason i liked 3.5. it's fast as hell. great for general questions/simple searches. it's not a godlike coder, but it doesn't need to be. we have other models for that.

I just might give vibe coding a shot. Not because I don't like to do programming, but because I've been having a lot of trouble hiring talented programmers, and I'll probably feel less bad about firing a chat bot. I'm thinking it could make the dull tools I'd need to make myself to make this darn game. Like a map editor, or a node graph visualizer. Bonus points if they can be used to bounce esoteric ideas at. Like what the canonical simplest trinary logic gate should be. What options should I look into? Oh and if anyone tips on restaurants that serve crow, that could come in handy.
