We’re the drep.collective — currently consisting of @bastian_SHARE, @andi_lightup & @SchlegelQuirin. Below, you’ll find our policy goals and vision for Cardano governance.✨ Objectives: We are committed to advancing Cardano through innovation, financial sustainability, and community-driven governance. As the drep.collective, we aim to shape Cardano’s strategic direction, keeping it decentralized, forward-looking, and at the cutting edge of innovation. We strive to bridge communities by representing both the German-speaking Cardano community and global voices, ensuring diverse perspectives are reflected in governance. Our focus is on financial sustainability, supporting balanced treasury management to maintain stability without sacrificing growth. We stand for freedom, self-sovereignty, and decentralization, protecting transparency and inclusivity while resisting centralization pressures. We are also dedicated to education and community engagement, enabling hackathons, governance discussions, and meetups to inspire collaboration and innovation, ensuring the Cardano community remains strong and the blockchain itself secure, scalable, and resilient. Motivations: As the drep.collective, we believe Cardano can transform economic, political, and social systems through decentralization and blockchain technology. It is uniquely positioned to build a fairer, more inclusive, and sustainable future—one that promotes transparency, pushes power to the edges, and empowers individuals and communities globally. We are driven by the belief that collaborative governance and responsible leadership are key to Cardano’s long-term success. By fostering education, engagement, and innovation, we aim to equip communities with tools to address real-world challenges and drive meaningful change. Our commitment to freedom, self-sovereignty, and financial responsibility guides us in advocating for transparent, accountable, and resilient governance. We see this as an opportunity to help Cardano grow while preserving the values of decentralization and openness that unite its community. Qualifications: The drep.collective brings together expertise in business, finance, digitalization, technology, philosophy, and community leadership—united by a shared commitment to Cardano’s mission. Our members hold advanced degrees in finance, international management, and computer science, with academic focuses on digitalization, economics, ethics, and Web 3.0 strategies. We have experience as stake pool operators, content creators with 30,000+ followers, and educators focused on blockchain adoption. Our collective also includes a software developer who has secured Catalyst funding and built open-source Cardano blockchain tools. Collectively, we’ve served as delegates and co-hosts at key governance events, including the Cardano Constitutional Convention and Synthesis Workshops. Together, we combine academic knowledge, technical expertise, and community leadership to strengthen Cardano as a decentralized, resilient, and innovative ecosystem.

Finally, we voted *YES on Cardano in Oceania – A Community-Led Strategic Plan for Growth* Though it didn’t pass, we believe it was a well-structured, community-driven initiative by trusted long-time contributors. A missed opportunity, but a valuable effort.

*SNEK Loan Proposal: YES!* It’s the first-ever loan from the Treasury — an innovative approach with repayment and interest, aligning incentives across the ecosystem. Despite some risks, we see more upside from it and the @snek team has shown strong execution skills in the past!

The road to Omega is full of challenges and surprises, but it will solve the pillar of scalability once and for all. Midnight and partnerchains give us interoperability, and we are well on our way to governance being recursively self-improving. Cardano is the ONLY true 3rd generation blockchain. The rest took shortcuts. We chose innovation and progress.

FACT: Leios Lite will bring a 30–55x increase in throughput for Cardano. IOG plans to roll out Leios in iterations, with Leios Lite as the first major step toward full deployment.

It’s worth reminding: 1. We’ve been laser-focused on decentralization from day one — unlike most projects from our era and beyond. 2. Since early 2021, we’ve been the most decentralized chain in the space. 3. With our governance model, we’re still the only truly decentralized chain — no other major chain even attempts community-driven on-chain governance. So let’s not give VC-backed chains — or the BTC and ETH maxis — any space to rewrite this narrative.

@krissbaird Fully agreed - @krissbaird! The 200M Ada NCL would undermine the entire already far-along 2025 budget process. That is why we voted “no”. If you are looking for a Drep representing this stance (and your voice) consider delegating to us @drepcollective. x.com/drepcollective…

4/9 2025 Cardano NCL (200M ADA) ❌ Voted NO This proposal attempts to override the previously approved 350M ADA net change limit and would undermine the already approved 275M budget. We respect prior decisions and see no justification for undermining the approved budget.

DReps please realise this, as a Cardano budget committee voting member, I believe I represent the views of most If not all of everyone in that forum. 7 points to make the case: A 200m NCL means none of the hundreds of ecosystem builders have a clear path to receiving funds in the next months, creating a serious flight risk to build in other ecosystems. 200m NCL stifles grassroots innovation on Cardano because of some arbitrarily low ceiling on what a few people think could be spent to "protect the treasury", instead of a ceiling that provides enough headroom for all the major workstreams 200m NCL provides resources to 7 projects instead of the 500 or more projects that stand to benefit otherwise. 200m NCL kills the most mature ecosystem growth & governance roadmap in the entire blockchain industry. 200m NCL prevents Cardano from ANY type of growth this year, regressing to a laughingstock position and disempowering Cardano entrepreneurs that were on a trajectory to prove everyone else in crypto wrong 200m NCL doesn't have any clear rationale about why this is a better option over the existing 350m NCL given the info @stakenuts just offered, now we all see which proposals have risen to the top....No builder DAO no OSC open source programmes, no 3 catalyst funds no retroactive experiments. Voting for 200 effectively unwinds years and years momentum and to me, at least, is based on nothing more than a finger in the air as opposed to real modelling and cost justification.

Emurgo has a little over 11% of the dRep voting power on Cardano. Between the Yoroi dRep, and the Emurgo dRep. That is too much Cardano control from one entity. If you haven't delegated or delegated to yoroi/emurgo dRep, you should find one with less stake that represents you.

Remarkably, small DReps with less than 1M ADA in voting stake are more engaged in writing rationales than top DReps with over 10M ADA voting power. This needs to change—YES/NO voting isn’t binary. Rationales provide context, transparency, and accountability.

8/9 Data Not Verifiable Governance Action (50M ADA for DeFi Liquidity) ❌ Voted NO While submitted by trusted community members, it raises serious concerns: – No clear ownership/stewardship of funds – Legal and execution risks – Top-down DeFi liquidity is not the answer. Growth should be organic, not centrally directed and also not without clear team expertise in finance.
