From Kitimat to the Indo-Pacific, Canada is stepping onto the world stage as a major supplier of energy security — and with LNG Canada Phase 2 moving toward a final investment decision in late 2026, alongside other LNG projects on British Columbia’s North Coast, Canada is on track to become an LNG superpower.

⭕🇩🇪🇺🇦 Germany is studying Ukraine’s new “FP-5 Flamingo” missile as a potential European alternative to the US Tomahawk. Ukraine’s Fire Point claims the missile has a range of up to 3,000 km and says production could reach 200 missiles per month. The company is also expanding drone, ballistic missile and satellite programs as Europe increasingly looks toward Ukrainian battlefield tested weapons. Source: Financial Times / The Ukrainian Review

Yesterday, Russia launched one of its largest drone and missile attacks on Ukraine in four years. Canada unequivocally condemns these indiscriminate attacks. I express my deepest condolences to those injured and everyone mourning their loved ones. Canada stands with Ukraine as it defends itself against this unconscionable aggression and we will work with allies to sustain pressure on Russia to bring this conflict to an end.

🦅🔥 Ukraine has doubled the destruction of Russian air defense systems in six months — Der Spiegel Last month, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed almost twice as many air defense systems and radars as in October last year. Russian reserves are gradually being depleted. This allows Ukraine to launch more and more strikes deep into the Russian rear. The FP-2, Hornet and Bulava drones play a key role. In the last kilometers, they operate autonomously: they scan the terrain and independently find the target. The range is up to 200 km behind the front line. The main targets are the Tor, Buk and S-300 systems. From January to April, Ukraine carried out 600 drone strikes in the occupied territories.

Russian Beriev Be-200 amphibious aircraft was destroyed at the Yeysk airbase in Russia as a result of a drone strike. The Beriev Be-200 is the world’s only operational serial-produced jet-powered amphibious aircraft. Only a very limited number of Be-200 aircraft were ever produced, making any loss especially significant.

russia is on fire again 🔥 🔥🔥 We struck the Ryazan refinery this morning, a lot of the airports in Moscow get their fuel from here, also their gas stations. russian air defense hit their own apartment block trying to shoot down the drones, good air defense 👏👏👏
