Here’s a 5.9M condo in Manhattan. It’ll be bought by someone Mamdani/Hochul claim isn’t paying their “fair share”. They’ll pay a $132,000 mansion tax at closing. And then pay $5200 a month in property taxes. Mamdani and Hochul will now add another tax to this bill.

The replies to this are so funny: 4000 people making the exact same bad arguments I've heard my whole life, as if they've somehow never been made before. I know the arguments for the EC - that's why I said there are no good ones. The US has only one office that's elected by American voters as a whole. The fact that we have a system that in that one race allows a minority of voters to dictate to the majority and decide who gets the office is ridiculous and stupidly anti-democratic. We're always going to have it, but that's a bad thing.

Great to see Sen. Kennedy call out the Democrats’ tedious “who won 2020” question. The purported reason for it (“if you won’t say no to Trump now, how will you in the future?”) is absurd. Now Trump can pull their nom; in the future they have life tenure. The circumstances are entirely different. That’s why Dems ask the question because they know that Trump will hit the roof if nominees say he lost. So they get to pin nominees down and wail on them. Good for them. You always take opportunities like that when they come along. We sure did. (“Well I’m not a biologist, Senator.”) What’s insufferable is the pious intimation that this has any point beyond wailing on nominees. It doesn’t.

This is a travesty. John represented the President in litigation challenging an election. That’s all. He lied about nothing. Reasonable minds can disagree about the 2020 election. He did what lawyers are supposed to do — represent disfavored individuals. And make no mistake, the elites, especially in bar apparatuses, disfavor and hate President Trump and anyone associated with him with a burning passion. No one representing Vice President Gore was disbarred for losing Bush v. Gore where the whole partial county-specific recount strategy Democrat lawyers devised there was ruled an unconstitutional violation of equal protection. Two-tiered system of justice and of bar discipline. Pray for John and his family and that John will speedily take his case to the U.S. Supreme Court and that they will grant cert and reverse this absolute nonsense.

@trouble_man90 That's not really true. The difference here is Democrats were worried about Biden being our nominee. I think had Biden been in his 2nd term, the left would've strongly defended him. And if Trump was running in 3 years, more GOP might be defecting.

When Joe Biden became unpopular the entire country jumped into action; the media, the press, newspapers, magazines, Hollywood actors, news anchors, radio, podcasts—senators, congressmen, governors, his decades long friends and colleagues all banded together to push him out. “For the good of the country Mr President..” “Cement your legacy Mr President” “You’ll be a hero..” Now trump is even more unpopular, underwater polling on every single issue, even higher gas and grocery prices, even more unaffordable housing prices and rent costs, a souring economy, almost zero job gains over the last several months, and now an unpopular war that he’s bumbling through with no coherent strategy or goals. So why are none of those same people are calling for him to step down “for the good of the country”??? Does he not need to cement his legacy?? Is he not dragging his party down months before a big election? Why did hose rules apply to Biden but not trump??
