Does anyone have a clear laymen explanation why a high p-value does NOT mean that the null hypothesis is true? I don't need it for myself. I'm looking for an explanation that I can link to for people with little to no statistical training.

I am excited to share that the 3rd Edition of Measuring #UX just came out. This was the last work I did with Thomas S. Tullis. I wish he was here to see what we accomplished. I know he would have been proud. Also, a huge thanks to the many contributors:…lnkd.in/e-cqG7fp

Sometimes I see ESL speakers distraught because they just learned that they have been mispronouncing a word for the last ten years. And I want you guys to know, from the bottom of my heart: literally every native English speaker does this too.

From 2010 to 2020 we published 36 articles on or related to the Net Promoter Score. This new article summarizes a series of eight articles we published in 2021 describing how to conduct statistical analysis of the NPS. bit.ly/3smPWUF

@metausable @MeasuringU You probably wouldn't if you had that choice. I suspect UX practitioners pay more attention to those details than real respondents do. That said, it would be interesting to see what happens if we replicate the study allowing selection of no stars and without endpoint labels.

@MeasuringU Interesting study, but I feel this is an unusual use of stars as I think they are intended to be used without any labels. Applying them to questions with the Agree / Disagree scale seems somewhat confusing as why would I give any stars for "Strongly Disagree"?
