Parents have asked Big Tech CEO’s to work together to keep kids safe. •Parents can’t out engineer designs and features meant to addict kids. •Parents can’t see disappearing messages or livestreams. •Parents can’t disable accounts used by sextortionists, pedophiles, dealers, bullies. •Parents can’t change the algorithmic feed. •Parents can’t remove beauty filters and editing tools. You know who can? Big Tech. But, they don’t. Because they’re greedy and only see dollar signs when it comes to kids. I'm with David. Social media is awful (yes, I'm here, I'm part of the problem), but we can't throw out the free speech baby to get rid of some crappy social media bathwater. Parents and schools should crack down on children's phone/screen usage, not the government.
