WE DID IT! The first portal and robots on the Austin @pipedream_labs Network go live in February! We'll be around all day, so ask a question here and we'll respond with a video! Here's a quick thread about what we delivered & where we're going next:

We've raised our $11M seed to build autonomous cargo planes at Poseidon Aerospace. We are building the future of air freight with unmanned platforms, designed from the ground up to move cargo significantly cheaper and faster. Led by Tamarack Global with participation from Drover Ventures, Draper Associates, Starship Ventures, Cade Ventures, GoAhead, Fortitude Ventures and angels.

It’s happened. We’ve just closed our seed round of $8.65 million. Led by @lachygroom, with participation from @lpolovets at @humbavc & @MohapatraHemant from @LightspeedIndia doubling down. This round has been more than a validation of our vision, it’s on the back of making it a reality. Airbound never began as a grand vision to make 1 cent deliveries a reality. It began as the story of an engineer who questioned everything. Why can’t this be better? Why does there need to be so much infrastructure? Why should deliveries be so inefficient? The nice thing about engineering is that there is an objectively right and an objectively wrong answer. The nice thing about physics is that there is an optimum. It physically hurts to know what optimal looks like and go for something suboptimal. Most engineers outgrow that feeling. The benefit of starting young is that once you get a taste for the optimum, you can’t go back. Airbound simply started as a quest to build the best drone possible. It was a project - a love letter to engineering. We’re now a team of 50. We’ve scaled production to one drone a day, flown 10,000+ km, and improved reliability by 35x. And this was only in the past 3 months. We’re so much more than a project now. We’ve built the best drone in the world. Now it's time for us to scale this impact and enable trillions of flights annually, and build a world where roads are optional. Excited to have some amazing angels @balajis, @AbhayVenkatesh1, @tarunsmehta, @mohith_dzn, @dhaval_shroff, @jaredrosnerd and so many more amazing supporters of this journey. The future is going to be in the sky!

In today’s operational environments, logistics are no longer guaranteed. In day one of a conflict, access to ports and airfields can be contested or denied altogether, leaving critical supplies stranded far from where they’re needed most. Traditional platforms incur significant tradeoffs: fixed-wing planes are limited by runway access, helicopters are exquisite expensive solutions, and vessels are bound to deepwater ports and lack the speed for a fast response when timelines collapse. The result is a logistics chain that becomes brittle at precisely the moment it needs to be most resilient. We are building Heron to break that bottleneck. Operating amphibiously with no reliance on runways or ports, it delivers ton-class cargo directly across the littorals at a fraction of the cost and time of existing options. Heron’s combination of sea access and ground-effect flight creates an independent logistics axis that survives the loss of fixed infrastructure, preserves operational tempo, and ensures combat power is sustained in denied environments. In contested logistics, speed, adaptability, and infrastructure independence are the difference between mission success and failure.

Construction for the first ATX network portals/Goods starts in a week! So many people told us our timelines for everything were way too short, that we were underestimating the complexity of permitting/construction/retail operations, etc. But in the end, you can just do things.

While everyone in business is busy losing their minds about tariffs, @zipline just quietly launched a logistics revolution in Dallas, TX. You can now get anything at a Walmart delivered to your front door by drone, with a flight time under 2 minutes for most orders.

We want to make using a portal store as magically fast as absolutely possible. We have a ways to go still, but this is the first version that definitely feels like magic!

At @pipedream_labs , we're building the internet for atoms. Not as a concept, but as a real, citywide network starting this year. Our goal is to help make 15 min delivery possible for everything & everyone. Here's what we've been up to this last year to make this happen:

When we first invested in Airbound, Naman was only 17. Today, Airbound is coming out of stealth announcing their Seed round lead by @LightspeedIndia. The progress they have made has been incredible to watch, and we are proud to be an early supporter.
Airbound@Airbound_Aero

We took a first-principles approach to drone design—reducing aircraft weight from 15–25kg down to 1500 grams. Our blended wing body tailsitter is by far the lightest, most efficient, and most economically viable delivery drone out there.

I'm thrilled to announce our new company @Singulate_ai and a $2.3 million pre-seed funding round. We (2 of Hopin's best engineering leaders - Nicolas Klein, John O’Gara - and other members of the early Hopin/StreamYard team) are back together to solve the biggest problem that we saw in events and B2B marketing. The problem we - and hundreds of thousands of our customers - saw was despite having loads of data from our events, product, and CRM, we still sent email “blasts” that were 98% the same message to everyone on the list with only sparse static “personalization” sprinkled in (e.g., FNAME). We left millions of dollars in growth on the table by not being able to meaningfully write for the individual at scale, despite having the industry-leading marketing automation platform, agencies, and a marketing ops team. This problem is nothing new. Every email marketing platform today offers some form of segmentation and personalization. But the ops work is way too hard for a busy marketer to take the time to do it well — and the marginal results often don’t make it worth it. The data is there, yes, but it never actually impacts the individualized content at the end because it’s simply too hard to do. So here’s what we’re building. It’s called Singulate, the future of large-scale communication. Singulate is the first generative AI personalization marketing platform - a mouthful way to say it’s the easiest way to segment and meaningfully personalize marketing emails - it lets marketers speak to the individual at scale for engagement. Singulate is designed not for persuasion in cold outreach, but for relevance for building longterm trust with customers. We’re introducing “generative personalization” - the deepest, most controlled form of personalization yet. Internally, we refer to this as “singulation” — where the name comes from: to singulate means to “break off into one.” Singulated emails perform better than blast emails because they’re written for the individual’s use case. We are just a few months into development but some of the early campaigns from our beta users have shown very promising results for engagement, including 5-10x higher click through rates. As a marketer, a writer, and a person obsessed with copywriting, this is the tool I always wished we had at Hopin. Finally, a huge thank you to our investors, @BoweryCapital in New York and @seedcamp in London, as well as our angel investors, including the Hopin founder Johnny Boufarhat, Indeed founder Paul Forster, Alex Theuma founder of SaaStock, Allen Gannett, Alen Cvisic, Liz Willits, Dillon Scanlan, Johnathan Kol-Bar, Draper Startup House, and more.
