Economists are already writing about this. Current generations of economics grad students are essentially being radicalized into anti-rent-seeking jihadists by Acemoglu, Friedman, Mokyr, Stigler, Glaeser, and Hsieh. It is glorious.

No, many empirical findings published from a few years ago are already in intro textbooks.
In theory side, some relatively recent theoretical models are described in modern intro textbooks like the Mortensen and Pissarides labor search model from the 1990s.

Как Пелевин девяностых, Крылов десятых уже абсолютно непонятен, если вы тогда не жили, 80 процентов шуток просто невозможно расшифровать
Хорошая новость - это и не нужно, в отличие от Пелевина, значимость Крылова крайне нишевая
