What’s going on here: replacing a dead drive (the 6TB one) in my old Synology DS1512+ I use as a Plex media server. No probs, have a spare 10TB laying around, but… the drive caddy has a notch that prohibits the new drive from fitting as it’s filled in. Why? What’s going on?

I'm leading a new team at Amazon and I have a colleague who pronounces "Federate" with a hard "it". I've never heard it pronounced that way. To me its Feder "ate" not "it". Has anyone else ever heard of someone pronouncing it this way? It throws me off every time.

@robertgraham FSD will always struggle as long as there are humans around. These lifeforms are notoriously unpredictable and a nightmare for machines.

Tesla is hosting a big unveiling of its "Robotaxi" even though no such car exists or is likely to exist. Their "Full Self Driving" is far from being a reality. To be fair, they really only have to achieve "not crash into things". A good mobile 4g/5g connection back to a data center can compensate for when the car cannot make decisions itself. But that still requires SAE Level 3 where the car can be trusted to not get into an accident. They still haven't demonstrated that. It's very VERY good, SAE Level 2++, but it's still not SAE Level 3, and doesn't seem to be getting closer to that. Tesla's FSD is crazy good, but it's been crazy good for several years now. It's shrinking marginal improvements puts it on a path to plateauing before Level 3 is achieved.
