There are now more anti-White and anti-Asian laws in South Africa than anti-Black laws under Apartheid. Racism is wrong no matter who it is against.

The United States is sanctioning the Rwandan Defense Force (RDF) and four senior RDF officials for supporting M23 and perpetuating the conflict in eastern DRC in violation of the Washington Accords. The United States is resolved to uphold the Washington Accords and ensure all parties deliver on the promises of this historic agreement.

Kenya’s electricity exports reached an all-time high of 15.87 GWh in July 2025, driven by record domestic generation of 1,157.79 GWh and renewed trade with Tanzania and Uganda. KNBS data show 2025 exports surged while imports from Ethiopia also rose sharply through the HVDC interconnector, solidifying Kenya’s role as East Africa’s emerging power trade hub.

Office of the Prime Minister - Ethiopia
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and First Lady Zinash Tayachew, together with senior federal and regional officials, officially inaugurated the restored Fasil Ghebbi. The extensive restoration project has breathed new life into this treasured heritage site, preserving its history while enhancing its beauty and accessibility. The work included repairing palace structures, improving pathways, and carefully restoring key buildings using traditional materials such as cedar and wanza wood to maintain the site’s authentic character. Visitor amenities have also been significantly upgraded, with a new tourist center, modern public restrooms, and improved lighting and security systems. Several iconic landmarks, including the palaces of Emperors Fasil, Yohannes I, and Eyasu I, along with nearby bridges, baths, and historic gates, have all been meticulously renovated. In addition, over 40,000 square meters of the site have been landscaped, adding greenery and creating a more inviting atmosphere for visitors. The entire restoration was completed within just one year, ensuring the long-term preservation of this remarkable cultural heritage site. #PMOEthiopia

One of the most important voices in America was just shot in Utah. Praying for Charlie Kirk and his family. The media can’t wash their hands of this. Every time they pump division and scream racism, they stir hate and create the environment where things like this happen.

Why Your Harvard MBA Might Fail in Africa (And What to Do Instead) When members of the African diaspora return home to invest, we often arrive with ambition, capital, and good intentions—but also with the wrong mindset. We come to teach, not to learn. We think, “I’ve got the education, the money, and the global network. I can create jobs and show people how business is really done.” But here’s the uncomfortable truth: An “uneducated” trader in Mercato can outmaneuver a top-tier MBA grad when it comes to doing business in Ethiopia. I learned this the hard way. In 2007, my first venture in Ethiopia went bankrupt. I blamed the usual suspects: red tape, corruption, and “unfriendly” business environments. But the real issue? I came to teach, not to learn. Once I flipped the mindset and started listening to—and learning from—local entrepreneurs, everything changed. I began to understand the real rules of the game: -Personal relationships are more valuable than business plans -Negotiation beats confrontation -Flexibility is more important than textbook strategy The moment I stopped trying to “fix” things and started adapting, my businesses stopped failing and started thriving. Lesson? -Don’t underestimate local knowledge. -Don’t assume your education is your edge. -Come home with humility—not just hope. For those that want to learn how to do business in Africa by reading books or researching online, don't waste your time. The only way to learn is by putting boots on the ground! Final word of advice to my fellow diaspora: start small and don't put all your eggs in one basket.
