Hi @bt_uk - my transition of TNT Sports from Discovery+ to @HBOMax_UK went well and has been working for months, until two days ago. Now the HBO apps say I don’t have a subscription. I’ve contacted them and they need you to ‘unlink’ (NOT ‘deactivate’) my subscription. Pls advise

@Microinteracti1 We met loads of American tourists in Lisbon and Porto who were there because it was great and great value.
English

Americans spend an average of 520 euros a night on accommodation in Paris in July.
In Lisbon, for the same hotel category, the rate is 165.
That is not a deal. That is a different decision entirely.
The Atlantic beaches are 40 minutes by train. The custard tarts cost 1.30 euros. The jet lag is survivable because Lisbon is only 5 hours ahead, not 6 or 7.
Most families figure this out on the last day of the trip.
The full guide, including which neighborhoods work with children and which look good on Instagram and destroy your legs by 10am.

My musical tribute to Football Focus: the BBC One football show which is to end this summer after 52 years. As a kid I spent many Saturday lunchtimes watching it when it was part of Grandstand. Here’s the Grandstand theme by Keith Mansfield. @BBCSport @BBCMOTD @BBCRadio3

@haynesdeborah Ps the inside of the spire IS really interesting
English

@haynesdeborah I think Lord Robertson’s argument would have been stronger had he not linked it to the welfare budget. That just smelled of opposition political parties to me.
