Parked at Walmart and some teenager in an expensive ass Lexus just parked behind me and ran his grill right into my trailer hitch and didnt even notice (he was on his phone). I get out and said "dude you just hit my truck" and he goes "no i didnt" I just point to my trailer hit firmly lodged in his grill. He then proceeded to freak out about his Lexus 😂 This was an unexpected bump to the quality of my day 😂😂

The cheating is out of control. Not just the end of the year. Not just this group of kids. Every day. All year. Every class. Every school. Last month, I had my students write children's books in Spanish. On paper. In class. By hand. I did it that way on purpose because I knew exactly what would happen if I didn't. They left the room, ran it through Google Translate, came back, and copied it into their books. I teach Spanish 1. We have covered the present tense. That is it. I have books on my desk with the subjunctive in them. This past week, I was subbing. Kids were supposed to research a career in photography. Kid after kid photographed the assignment and uploaded it to AI. It spit out a Google Slideshow. They turned it in. Thirty seconds. Done. I let their teacher know. Kids come running into my room in the morning asking to use a computer. Science packet due. They want ChatGPT. I have it blocked. They are annoyed with me about this. The packet will get done. My current thoughts: -This affects just the top .1% of golfers. -what the USGA is proposing, it’s not going to roll it to the degree that those that are for the rollback wants. -The rollback ball affects some players a lot but barely affect others. It depends on ur launch conditions -This will make distance even more important and even more of an advantage -There’s not a lot of faith in the Usga with their ideas and the implementation of these ideas -Bifurcation is what’s needed to make serious changes but plenty of people find value in one rule set (which I find less important than others)

John Sterling has been top of mind lately and his voice brought me a lot of comfort and warmth over the years, and Howie Rose & Gary Cohen are favorites as well, but I’m not sure anyone can displace Vin Scully. He was the maestro against whom all other broadcasters are measured.
