@RusGarbageHuman "The Anglo-Saxons, who are entirely Germanic in their ethnic heritage, are half-white mutts because... well... they are!" If they separated the Celts and the Anglos, it would have made more sense.

@CavallineC3414 @EchoesofWarYT You seem to underestimate the ferocity with which men will fight with their backs to the wall. Meade couldn't have pursued immediately after Lee, and when he had the chance to (when Lee's back was to the Potomac) Lee had erected defenses.

@anglotradboy Don't forget about Zebulon Vance, hoarding over 90,000 uniforms during the Petersburg siege because "They're for North Carolina soldiers only."

@EchoesofWarYT Also remember that the entire Confederate army was draftees. This also has to be excluding those exempt from service for one reason or another, and not factoring in for desertion.

@flurryfrenzy Not a big fan of Space Racer, his voice, or his design. I think the "Kill Everything Ray" is a little too far, but what do I know.

@theoldworldshow And that many politicians on both sides did lead armies, to varying success, some even dying (as shown in the Ball's Bluff fiasco).

@theoldworldshow Yeah, except for the fact that the Confederate draft allowed for owners of 20 slaves or greater to avoid the draft, and that Southerners were deserting in droves, even before Atlanta and Petersburg in their respective theaters, because the soldiers were sick of war.

Buffoonish and untrue in traditional societies The British landed elite rallied to the colors in 1914 and served bravely as officers, dying at a rate roughly double that of the national average This is however true of plutocratic societies. The Yankee WASPs buying substitutes to get out of the War Between the States at the same time as their Cavalier cousins down South fought like lions to the bitter end is indicative of this dichotomy

@WanjiruNjoya Cairo, Illinois? Wow. Too bad for you, half the States wouldn't have even joined had the original Southern Confederacy been allowed to go with Sumter + other coastal forts.

@medievalmlord The Duke of Normandy is subject to the King of France, simple as. I don't know why he thinks he can act all on his own just because he has some off-shore holdings.

@shinkiiro_ This steel ball... we could shoot it out of some large bronze tube of sorts. And the uniforms of our players must be brightly colored and ornate, with shoulder & arm patches to denote seniority. The lower ranking players should have handheld tubes to expel small lead balls from.

@CarolinaGoldOGC I'm a Yank Frankly, the South losing the Civil War was a good thing purely for the restoration of the Union. It was a horrid thing that it came to war and that compromisers like Henry Clay were a thing of the past, that radicals like Garrison and Breckinridge triumphed.

You are a foreigner. I love my people, my History, my Heritage. To hate such things and condem them as evil is unwise and will lead to death of the self. Without History, Without Heritage, man becomes a walking husk able to be manipulated and conformed to those who hate him.
SobakaPro@sobakaprod

@ProgressDeath @cd_hooks I would rather slavery reign supreme for another hundred years than even one State secede from the Union. The Civil War was a horrid thing to happen to our nation and is a result of our failure to compromise. If only there had been a Henry Clay over a Garrison or a Breckinridge.

@ProgressDeath @cd_hooks Arguably did more to bring about the Civil War than Pierre Gustave Toutant-Beauregard. For that reason alone, he is a horrid figure. Good morals don't cancel out bad actions.
