Back when Visual Basic 6 was a legit way into game dev, I made a PC game called Raklem War on Earth.
It stopped working on any Windows after XP, which felt… personal.
Installed VB6. Found a missing DirectX 7 DLL. Fixed it.
Raklem lives again. 🥲

@duskic haha true, its not like good old times:) Many people moved to mastodon and other twitter clones, but i still follow few dozens that are sharing actual useful content. It just takes time to find them. I started with few "influencers", local or global, and checked who they follow!

I never used Tik Tok but lately X started showing 99% of short videos and no short text. Remember Twitter’s 140 character text limit? Anyway, X now looks to me like Tik Tok. I hate it. I am out.

@hhrvoje Problem with that is then I mostly see reposts from people I am following, and that usually has nothing to do with the person I am following. CEOs reposting a basketball game, investors reposting a politican and so on... Developers reposting a cat video :D

@duskic You're using "For you" timeline, which is curated list of addictive clickbait garbage. Just switch to "Following/Recent" (and Twitter often switches to /Popular!), only way to stay sane of this Elons masterpiece.
