I don't think women with average or lovely hair should be allowed to sell hair products. You want to sell me leave-in conditioners? Curl creams? Straighteners? Give me a model whose hair obviously hates her. Dry, frizzy, poorly behaved curls. Get her. Show me what it can do.

@dutchblendc @JessPected I’m very much into nail polish and sometimes it comes down to body chemistry. Years ago I got a gel manicure and the tech told me my nail plates were oily, like my skin lol. No amount of products will make the polish last b/c my body produce so much oil.

There's a depressing moment many women experience as they remove more men from their lives, add more authentic, feminist women, where they feel their bodies relax. The hypervigilance retreats. Women can talk & exist without anticipating aggression & being on defense.

The most depressing part to me of this accurate assessment is that a lot of men are like this with their partners too but bc it's so normalized, & bc men spinelessly hide behind "just joking," women are conditioned to tolerate it. Even see it as normal engagement or affection.

Ever since that whole “62 million men on that garbage site” thing, I’ve been paying way more attention to how men talk to women on here. And honestly, it’s brutal. The constant condescension, the nitpicking, the need to correct everything, and yeah, the nonstop sexualization no matter what a woman posts… it’s no wonder so many women are fed up. It’s actually wild that more of us don’t end up completely alone acting like this. At some point you have to admit it, a lot of men behave like complete douchebags, and women are justified in calling it out. If that stings, good. It probably should.
