I really don’t understand true greed. If I was worth $1 trillion, you’d have to physically stop me from solving as many of the world’s problems as possible. Everyone would have a home, food on the table, proper healthcare, happiness. I just don’t get it.

1. This is "extreme poverty". $3 a day consumption PPP. 2. "Extreme poverty" is (and was) basically non-existent in the US, thus there was none to eliminate. 3. The World Bank poverty line for high middle income countries, like China, is $8.30 a day PPP. 15-21% of the Chinese population currently lives below this poverty line. 4. China also has more poverty and less PPP adjusted GDP per capita than nearby and less socialist / more capitalist countries like Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, and Japan.
