Final thoughts from Houston. Stared into the abyss for a full half hour after the game ended. Time heals all wounds but this will hurt for a while

@fgrhoops Iowa implemented it some 3-4 years ago and it's been great and very little issue implementing. If a state with that many small schools has it, no reason others can't. Cld be wrong but think NE & SD have it too.
If 61% of Athletic Director’s don’t want a shot clock then I bet 61% of AD’s don’t schedule Saturday home games, won’t host district/regionals and secretly want their teams to lose in the playoffs so they don’t have to go to another road game
@WishingWealth Enjoy and follow your posts and blogs. Realize you're doing this pro bono. It would be nice if updates could be a little more frequent as it seemed like the downtrend really started last week - but understand if not reasonable, possible.
Blog Post: GMI=0 and Flashes RED! Day 22 of $QQQ short term down-trend; My 10:30 weekly chart below shows QQQ is now below its 30 week average. Look what happened the last time it did so in March, 2025. A major decline may be just beginning. Cash is ... wishingwealthblog.com/2026/03/blog-p…
Never, I repeat, NEVER in my life have I seen something quite like this…
What an absolutely insane ending in this Iowa state girls basketball tournament…
What in the world did we just see lol
Amazing video.
Semifinal of Iowa state high school basketball tournament.
Dallas Center-Grimes trailing Norwalk by four with 35 seconds left.
Ava Smid scores six points with two steals in 10 seconds.
DC-Grimes wins.
This is March.
The stoning scene in Monty Python’s Life of Brian (1979) is pure chaos. Michael Palin said they had to reshoot multiple times because the cast couldn’t stop laughing.
@pk_erredge False. 2019 3A Champtionship Oskaloosa (Xavier Foster) vs Norwalk (Bowen Born). 100 and 200 levels completely full, had to open 300 level which is curtained in the vid. 300 mostly full. People for the 4A game Dbq Sr vs Cedar Falls had nowhere to go but 300 until 3A game ended.
@miles_commodore 100% false. No one likes a burger smashed to less than a dime thickness overcooked to shoe leather texture. The curds and ice cream (custard) are great. The burgers s-u-c-k.
They only have about 1,000 restaurants or so in the US so they are still very small compared to the big boys, but in my opinion Culver’s is the best burger chain in America.

@BrattoBiz@ankurnagpal BrattoBiz is correct, and depends on your age too. The whole reason for this "backdoor" is if you're 50+ and make over $150k. If you're late 50's, it's only the compounding gains tax free. Taxed when taken out in retirement. Just as easy to broker it at that point.
One of the craziest loopholes in the US tax code gets better this year
If you make $160K+, you can no longer directly contribute to a Roth IRA
But, you can instead use your 401k plan to now contribute $72K to your Roth IRA every year
Here's how the "mega backdoor Roth" works:
“Speak as you would to a young child or a golden retriever…”
One of the greatest finance scenes ever filmed.
This boardroom scene (Jeremy Irons, Zachary Quinto, Kevin Spacey) took 12 straight hours to shoot.
The sun you briefly see at the window?
That was real. They rolled right into sunrise. 🌅
Irons almost didn’t make it. His work visa had expired, and it took a frantic scramble via the British Embassy and U.S. Senators, during Fourth of July weekend, just to get him on the plane.
The closing credits called them “The Jeremy Irons Visa Miracle Team.”
